Download DLC on PlayStation
PlayStation 5
- From Games home, open Game Library > Your Collection.
- Select the game, scroll to Add-Ons, and choose the owned add-on. Select Download; installation starts automatically when the download finishes. Sony documents this route in its PlayStation Store download instructions.

- Open Library > Purchased and select the game.
- Open PlayStation Store > Your Add-Ons.
- Select the arrow beside the owned add-on to start its download.
You can also use a browser or PlayStation App to send an owned add-on to a linked console. Remote downloads depend on the console and account setup; for PS4, Sony specifies that the console must be activated as primary and automatic downloads configured.
Download DLC on Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S
- In My games & apps, highlight the game without opening it.
- Press the Menu button and choose Manage game and add-ons.
- Select the game, then choose Manage installation on the target drive.
- Check the box beside each installable add-on and select Save changes.
SEGA’s console DLC instructions note that some entries under More add-ons are entitlements activated in the game, not separate downloads.

Download DLC in the Epic Games Launcher
- Open Library and find the game.
- Click the three-dot menu beside it and choose Manage Add-Ons.
- Move the slider to the right for the DLC you want to install.
Manage Add-Ons may appear only when the game is installed or needs an update. Some games include DLC in the initial game download, so there is no separate add-on control. Epic explains these cases in its DLC management help page.

Download DLC on Nintendo Switch
Nintendo Support Japan says purchased add-ons download automatically on a console able to use the relevant virtual game card, and installation completes automatically after download. The base game must be closed for add-on installation to finish, so close it if you bought DLC while playing. These instructions are from Nintendo’s Japan-region eShop usage notes; account and menu flows can differ by country.
For deleted content, Nintendo’s Japan-region transaction and redownload instructions say to set the purchasing account’s virtual game card on the console to redownload. Check Nintendo Support for your country for the applicable steps.

If DLC says “Purchased” but is not available
- Check the purchasing account. Sign in to the account that bought the add-on. Nintendo records purchases by Nintendo Account; Bungie’s Destiny troubleshooting also directs players to the account that purchased the content.
- Match the game version and edition. DLC needs a compatible base game. If you have both PS4 and PS5 versions installed, download the add-on for the version you play; Sony notes that PS5 can switch between a game’s PS4 and PS5 versions.
- Check the region for a physical game. Compare the disc’s region with the account or store region. SEGA warns that a mismatch can make DLC inaccessible.
- Look for a separate install control. DLC may already be included in the game download or may be an in-game entitlement rather than a separately installed add-on.
- Close and relaunch the game. Switch requires the base game to be closed for add-on installation to complete. SEGA also recommends relaunching after a PS5 DLC download.
- Check the transaction record. If a purchased PlayStation add-on is missing, Sony recommends checking transaction history.
For a license problem in Destiny, Bungie’s game-specific license guide recommends restoring PlayStation licenses in system settings and revisiting the game’s library or store entry. For Epic, it advises managing DLC and verifying game files if needed. These are Destiny-specific troubleshooting steps, not universal platform fixes.

- An Epic Games account is required to redeem an Epic Games Store Card code
- If playing on a console platform (PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, Nintendo Switch or Mobile) you need to link your Epic Games account to that gaming platform (one time) to redeem your gift card code
- The 16 digit code on the back of the card WILL NOT work if redeemed directly through your gaming platform (PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, Nintendo Switch, Mobile, etc.)
- Note: Nintendo devices do not support Fortnite Shared Wallet, so V-Bucks purchased using your account balance will not show up on your Nintendo device. However, if you purchase items in the web Item Shop — or another platform where you play Fortnite — those items will be available in your Locker across all platforms.
- Redemption: Online
