Helldivers 2 is already available on Xbox Series X|S. Xbox Wire announced the port on July 3, 2025, and the game launched on August 26, 2025—so the old claim that an Xbox version was not happening is no longer current.

The current Xbox store listing offers the game for Xbox Series X|S. PlayStation’s US game page lists PS5, PS5 Pro Enhanced, PC, and Xbox among the platforms. Check the PlayStation game page.
Why did people say the Xbox port was not happening?
A November 4, 2024 article by PlanetaGracza reported an insider claim attributed to Shpeshal Nick that an Xbox port was not being made. That was a report of an insider claim, not an official cancellation announcement from Sony, Microsoft, or Arrowhead Game Studios. The subsequent official Xbox announcement and release superseded it. Does Helldivers 2 support cross-play?
Yes. Arrowhead Game Studios’ FAQ says Helldivers 2 supports cross-play between PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. That means players on those platforms can play together. See Arrowhead’s FAQ.
Is there cross-progression between platforms?
Cross-play and cross-progression are different features. Arrowhead’s FAQ says linking Steam and PSN accounts does not copy game data between the PC and PS5 copies. The FAQ does not establish that progress transfers across every platform pairing, so do not assume that cross-play means your progress or unlocks follow you between platforms. Check the FAQ for the latest account and progression details before switching versions.

How many people have played Helldivers 2?
Sony Interactive Entertainment reported that more than 22.9 million players had been welcomed across PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC as of August 9, 2026, in an announcement published August 12, 2026. That figure is a player count, not copies sold, sales revenue, or the number of people playing at the same time. Read Sony’s announcement.
