WB Games listed a fix for a Daedalian Key house-reward chest issue in the June 2, 2023 patch notes for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The notes say the fix addressed being unable to open the chest for the house reward; they do not promise that every save with tokens already missing will recover automatically. If the problem persists, check that the game is updated and contact official support for guidance specific to your save.
What the Daedalian Keys bug looked like
Players described symptoms such as returning to the house chest and finding a token missing, or finding that previously deposited tokens were no longer there. One May 2023 player report described placing the first token, collecting the other 15, and then returning to a chest that still appeared to be short one. Another said deposited tokens had disappeared. These are individual reports, not evidence of how often the bug occurred or what caused it. Steam Community player discussion, May 2023; player report, May 24, 2023.

What the official patch fixed
WB Games’ June 2, 2023 patch notes for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC list bug report HL-12673 as resolved. The bullet reads: “Resolved with Daedelian Key and not being able to open the chest to get house reward.” The spelling “Daedelian” is reproduced as it appears in the official notes. WB Games / Portkey Games Support patch notes, June 2, 2023.
This confirms that WB Games issued a software fix for the listed chest problem on those platforms. It does not establish that the patch restores tokens in every save already affected, nor that every report of missing tokens has the same cause.

Platform coverage is not identical
The June 2, 2023 notes for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One are a separate list and do not include the Daedalian Key fix. That omission is not proof that no later change addressed the issue on those platforms; it means these notes alone do not confirm equivalent coverage. The support announcements index includes later Hogwarts Legacy announcements, but the reviewed information does not establish whether later ports received the same fix or whether a save affected before the patch can be repaired. Portkey Games Support announcements and support resources.

What to do if tokens are still missing
- Check for a game update. Install any available update for your platform, then reload the affected save and check the house-reward chest.
- If the symptom remains, contact official support. Provide your platform, game version, and a description of what happened to the tokens. Ask for save-specific guidance through Portkey Games Support.
- Keep the affected save. The cited sources do not establish restarting, deleting a save, or another in-game action as a reliable fix, so do not discard progress on the assumption that it will restore tokens.
Is there a guaranteed workaround?
No guaranteed workaround for a save with already-missing tokens is established by the official patch notes or the cited player reports. The documented remedy is a software patch for the chest issue, not a physical product or accessory. Player discussions can help identify similar symptoms, but they do not establish a reliable recovery method.
