The Exhaust Organ Flea is in Bilewater, just left of the Organ’s upper entrance. To reach it, navigate the Mist, open the Organ’s main elevator shaft, then enter a fake wall near the shaft’s top and follow the outdoor platforms to the Flea. Free it by cutting the vines with your Needle. This Flea counts toward the usual rescue milestones; it has no unique individual reward.
Where is the Exhaust Organ Flea in Silksong?
The Flea is in Bilewater, left of the upper entrance to the Exhaust Organ. Its route passes through a secret passage inside the Organ, then continues along exterior platforms. The Hollow Knight Wiki lists traversing the Mist as the requirement and places the Flea left of the upper entrance: Flea location and milestone information.
How to reach the Flea
- Navigate the Mist. Follow the glowing moths: play Needolin near them, stop playing, then travel in the direction they indicate to find the correct exit. A wrong exit or a fall into the fog resets the rooms, so repeat the moth-following process until you reach the Exhaust Organ. See the Mist Puzzle Solution & Exhaust Organ Guide.
- Reach the cobwebbed bench. Enter the Organ and climb the platforms on the left side of its main chamber. Clear the webs at the bench with your Needle and rest.
- Open the main elevator shaft. From the bench, take the steam-vent tunnels toward the elevator mechanism. At the lower-left branch, break the wooden braces holding the elevator; it will fall and open the main shaft.
- Find the secret passage. Return to the shaft and climb to its top. Walk into the fake wall on the left to reveal the hidden route.
- Rescue the Flea. Follow the outdoor platforms to the Flea caught in vines, then cut the vines with your Needle.
How to orient yourself on the map
Use the upper entrance and main elevator shaft as landmarks rather than relying on a room number or coordinate. The path is: Bilewater, upper Exhaust Organ entrance, opened elevator shaft, fake wall on the shaft’s left near the top, then exterior platforms. The text sources do not establish a stable coordinate for the Flea.
What does the Exhaust Organ Flea reward?
This rescue adds to your total Flea count; it does not have a distinct reward of its own. The Hollow Knight Wiki lists 30 Fleas in total, including named NPC Fleas, and describes these count-based milestones:

These are total-count milestones, not rewards tied specifically to the Exhaust Organ rescue. For the separate initial Wayfarer Wish, The Lost Fleas, rescue five Fleas; the wish rewards Flea Brew and is available from the Bone Bottom Wishwall or Mooshka in the Marrow. See The Lost Fleas.

The available location information names traversing the Mist as the Flea’s requirement; it does not say Phantom must be defeated. Phantom is in the Exhaust Organ and is reached through the Mist. The Phantom page says the Organ stops functioning after the boss is defeated, so the route details here distinguish reaching the Flea from defeating Phantom: Phantom.
