Where to find Signis and Gron
Look for the arena in the lower, southern part of Deep Docks. The route descriptions available for this encounter do not line up perfectly: one guide describes a locked entrance opened with a Simple Key, while another mentions a nearby Clawline hook and a route through lower Deep Docks. Use those as landmarks, but confirm the entrance and route in your game rather than assuming the descriptions identify the same access point. How to beat Signis and Gron
Handle Signis’s opening phase
Signis starts the encounter alone. The Hollow Knight Wiki lists a spinning two-hit combo, a spinning retreat, a thrown pugil stick that returns, and summons that bring additional enemies into the arena. Watch the weapon’s return as well as its outward throw; dodge the attack, then punish when Signis has finished committing to it. Avoid relying on a fixed number of hits, since openings depend on your position and timing.
When Gron joins, focus Signis
Gron enters later in the fight. His listed attacks are a spear throw and an explosive dive. While he is active, prioritize Signis to remove one source of pressure; keep Gron in view so you can react to his attacks, and clear summoned enemies before they crowd your movement space. Finish against the remaining brother
Once one brother is defeated, the fight becomes less crowded. Keep the same priorities—avoid the active brother’s attacks and use clear openings to deal damage—rather than assuming a particular recovery or health pattern.
Preparation and loadout
Game8 recommends Magma Bell as a useful option because many attacks in the encounter involve fire. Treat it as optional, not a requirement or a proven best choice. If you are choosing equipment, consider what helps you survive fire and lava, clear summoned enemies, or punish Signis during openings; the available guides do not establish a winning build. Game8
