To stop a pack from loading, deactivate it in Marketplace > My Collection > Pack Selection and confirm. That works on PC, Mac, PlayStation, and Xbox, but it does not delete the pack’s files. EA’s documented steps for removing one pack’s downloaded files apply to Mac; they do not establish an equivalent per-pack uninstall procedure for other platforms.
Choose between deactivating and removing files
Use Pack Selection if you want a pack’s content inactive in the game while keeping it installed. Use file removal only if you specifically want to remove downloaded DLC files. Deactivation is reversible and is not the same as uninstalling or reclaiming the pack’s full disk space.

Deactivate a pack on PC, Mac, PlayStation, or Xbox
- Launch The Sims 4. Open Marketplace from the main menu or use the in-game shopping-cart icon.
- Select My Collection, then Pack Selection.
- Clear the checkbox next to each pack you want to deactivate.
- Select Confirm. Restart the game if prompted or if the changes do not appear.
EA describes this feature as a way to choose which packs are active without uninstalling them. See EA’s Pack Selection guidance for the current feature details.
Back up saves and check pack-dependent content first
EA warns: “If you deactivate a Pack, your saved game will lose access to any Pack-specific content it uses, including hair, clothing, traits, and objects.” Deactivating a pack can therefore affect an existing save that uses its content. EA recommends using Pack Selection when creating a new save to avoid losing content or progress, backing up save files, and disabling all Mods before changing pack selection. A restart may be required.

Remove DLC files on Mac
EA’s documented folder-removal procedure is for Mac. Do not treat it as a universal method for Windows, Steam, Epic, PlayStation, or Xbox.
- In EA app settings, turn off automatic updates.
- Open the game folder on your Mac. With default settings, it is usually Applications > EA Games.
- Locate the DLC folder for the pack you want to remove and move that folder to Trash.
- Open EA app, find The Sims 4, select the three-dot menu on its game tile, and choose Repair.
These are the Mac-specific steps in EA’s DLC removal guidance. EA also documents whole-game uninstall controls for EA app on PC and Mac, but uninstalling the entire game is not the same as removing an individual add-on.

Check which add-ons are installed or active
EA app on PC or Mac
Open Library, select The Sims 4, then choose Manage > Manage add-ons to review owned and installed add-ons.
In the game
Open Marketplace > My Collection > Manage Storage. EA says a green Active label indicates that a pack is active. The Download Manager shows only very recent downloads, so older packs may not appear there.
