Godseeker Mode then appears as a separate new-game option. You do not need to clear the Pantheon of the Knight or the Pantheon of Hallownest.
Unlock Godseeker Mode by clearing three Pantheons
- Load an existing Hollow Knight save and enter Godhome.
- Complete the Pantheon of the Master.
- Complete the Pantheon of the Artist.
- Complete the Pantheon of the Sage.
- Start a new game and select Godseeker Mode.
The required sequence is the first three Pantheons, not all five. The Godseeker Mode reference lists these completions as the unlock requirement.
How to reach Godhome on a regular save
Godhome access and Godseeker Mode are separate steps: finding the Godseeker lets you enter Godhome on your campaign save, while clearing the three Pantheons unlocks the separate mode.
- Reach the Junk Pit through the Royal Waterways.
- Use a Simple Key to open the Godseeker’s coffin.
- Use the Dream Nail on the Godseeker to enter Godhome.

What changes when you start Godseeker Mode
Godseeker Mode is a separate save focused on boss challenges. It begins in Godhome with broad access to bosses and most spells, abilities, and charms, rather than recreating ordinary campaign progression through Hallownest. The mode reference notes two exceptions: World Sense is unavailable, and Absolute Radiance must first be encountered in the Pantheon of Hallownest.

Do you need to buy Godmaster separately?
No separate Godmaster purchase is indicated by Team Cherry’s release announcement: it described Godmaster as a free content pack and announced it for PC, Mac, Linux, and Nintendo Switch players.
