Eco-Farm is where you grow crops that the AIC Planting Unit cannot produce. You craft a plot for a specific crop, place it at a farm, germinate and water it, then return to harvest. Wuling’s Agricultural Test Site can automate watering with sprinklers, but the cited guide says you still handle germination, harvesting and fertilizer yourself.
What Eco-Farm is for
Eco-Farm plots complement the AIC Planting Unit rather than replace it. The Planting Unit supports automated cultivation for eligible crops; some crops cannot be grown there and instead require plots at an Eco-Farm. Plots can also yield special plants that Planting Units cannot produce, including Firebuckle, Umbraline, Fluffed Jincao and Thorny Yazhen. The community wiki’s mechanic entry describes these crop restrictions and special harvests.

There are two farm locations identified in the guides: the Eco-Farm in Originium Science Park, Valley IV, and the Agricultural Test Site in Wuling City. The available sources do not provide comparable output or growth-rate figures, so they do not establish that either system is faster or more productive overall.
How to unlock and craft your first plot
GameWith says plot crafting unlocks after the Farming Toils mission, which involves Vera near the Originium Science Park Eco-Farm. Its quest walkthrough describes gathering Tartpeppers, obtaining Tartpepper seeds, crafting a plot with seeds and carbon, and placing it at the farm. GameWith’s Eco-Farm guide was last updated February 19, 2026.

- Complete Farming Toils. Follow Vera’s mission near the Originium Science Park Eco-Farm to unlock plot crafting, as described in the GameWith guide.
- Get seeds for the crop you want. GameWith says seeds can be bought from Wellmorin at either farm or made from gathered plants using a Seed-Picking Unit.
- Gather carbon. Carbon is also required to craft a plot.
- Open Backpack → Crafting → Planting. Select the plot for your chosen crop and craft it using the required seeds and carbon.
- Place the plot at an Eco-Farm. Take it to the Originium Science Park Eco-Farm or Wuling Agricultural Test Site.
The growing cycle: germinate, water, wait, harvest
Once placed, a plot needs to be germinated and watered. Watering requirements vary by crop; some need more than one watering session. After the crop’s growth timer finishes, harvest it. Fertilizer is optional: the mechanic reference says Burdo-Muck and Bumper-Rich can increase yield, but does not provide a guaranteed amount or a crop-by-crop yield calculation.
- Germination: a player action before growth begins.
- Watering: required as the crop grows; the number of sessions depends on the crop.
- Growth: wait for the crop’s timer to finish.
- Harvest: collect the crop manually.
- Fertilizer: optional; Burdo-Muck and Bumper-Rich are described as yield-boosting fertilizers.
What can be automated?
At Wuling’s Agricultural Test Site, sprinklers water plots automatically. The GameWith guide says this automation is exclusive to that location and does not automate germination, harvesting or fertilizer application. In other words, sprinklers reduce watering attention, but they do not turn Eco-Farming into a fully hands-off production line.
The community wiki mechanic entry also mentions a Gas Dispersing Unit alongside a Sprinkler for automating multiple watering sessions. The sources describe this device less specifically than GameWith’s Wuling sprinkler setup, so treat the Gas Dispersing Unit as a reported watering option rather than assuming it works as a universal setup at every farm.
Wuling field layout reported by the guide
GameWith reports that the Wuling Agricultural Test Site holds up to 20 plots and recommends arranging them in a 5-by-4 grid with ten sprinklers. These are guide-reported game details, not immutable limits; check the current in-game site if exact capacity or placement matters, since updates may change them.

Eco-Farm plots versus AIC Planting Units
| System | Crop eligibility | Automation described by the sources | Player actions |
|---|---|---|---|
| AIC Planting Unit | Grows supported crops; some crops cannot be cultivated there. | Automates cultivation for eligible crops. | Source descriptions do not detail the full set of player actions or setup requirements. |
| Eco-Farm plots | Used for crops the Planting Unit cannot grow; plots can also yield special plants such as Firebuckle, Umbraline, Fluffed Jincao and Thorny Yazhen. | Wuling sprinklers automate watering at the Agricultural Test Site; a community wiki mechanic entry also names a Gas Dispersing Unit for watering. | Germinate and harvest manually; apply fertilizer manually if desired. Watering needs vary by crop, with Wuling sprinkler automation available according to GameWith. |
The practical choice is about crop eligibility and attention: use the AIC Planting Unit for crops it supports, and Eco-Farm plots for crops it cannot grow or for access to special harvests. The available sources do not establish comparative throughput, so a universal claim that one system is more efficient would go beyond the documented details.
