The cited sources do not specify a literal process for putting it on or taking it off, or describe a hidden layer or fastening mechanism.
What Nintendo says about the suit’s fit
The Nintendo Metroid Prime Instruction Booklet says the Chozo built the standard Power Suit specifically for Samus and that it is integrated with her body like a second skin. This establishes a close relationship between wearer and armor, but it does not explain the physical process by which she enters or exits it.
Nintendo’s Metroid Dread Report Vol. 5 likewise calls the suit a one-of-a-kind piece made with Chozo technology. Neither source identifies a cockpit, zipper, separate under-suit, or transformation sequence as the way Samus gets into it.
What the Power Suit does for Samus
The Metroid Prime manual describes the suit as providing protection, augmented physical strength, and life support. It allows Samus to survive in water and in space without additional equipment. These functions help explain why the suit is integral to her missions; they do not reveal a more detailed mechanism for how it fits.

Her Chozo DNA is not an explanation for putting on the suit
Samus’s Chozo DNA transplant is a separate part of her history. Nintendo says she received the transplant to adapt to Zebes’s harsh conditions in its Metroid Dread Report Vol. 7. The cited account does not say that the transplant creates, deploys, or mechanically attaches the Power Suit to her body.

The suit’s appearance changes over the series, but those changes do not fill in the missing details about how Samus wears it. Nintendo explains that X-parasite damage and the Metroid vaccine altered her suit in Metroid Fusion; in Metroid Dread, it gradually returns toward a more mechanical Power Suit form. That is the story explanation for the changing appearance, as summarized in Metroid Dread Report Vol. 3.

Nintendo’s Metroid Dread Report Vol. 10 also discusses the developers’ visual design goals. The team says Samus’s proportions were adjusted “to emphasize that there is someone inside the suit.” That is commentary about how the character looks, not a technical account of the armor’s interior or a specific fitting mechanism.
