Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesTo reach Suikoden II’s best-known happy ending, recruit all 108 Stars of Destiny before the Rockaxe battle, save Nanami by responding promptly to her intervention, and follow the nonviolent route with Jowy at Tenzan Pass. A detailed walkthrough also reports two additional conditions: use the fourth-level Bright Shield Rune spell and see the Huan–Shu conversation about Nanami.
Before Rockaxe: recruit all 108 Stars of Destiny
Recruit all 108 Stars before the Rockaxe battle. This is the key cutoff for the best ending; do not plan to collect missing recruits afterward. With the full roster, Leknaat appears at the pre-battle gathering and unlocks the fourth level of the Bright Shield Rune, according to StrategyWiki’s ending guide.
The official Suikoden I&II HD Remaster overview describes the collection as including both remastered games and frames Suikoden II’s large cast around the 108 Stars of Destiny, Jowston, and Highland. It does not document the hidden ending conditions; the step-by-step requirements here are reported by gameplay guides.
At Rockaxe: save Nanami
When Nanami intervenes during the Rockaxe sequence, answer the on-screen prompt promptly. StrategyWiki reports that either response is acceptable if you respond in time. Keep the controller ready: the moment is time-sensitive, so do not wait while reading or pause over the prompt.

After Rockaxe, watch for the Huan–Shu conversation about Nanami. A detailed GameFAQs walkthrough lists this conversation as an additional happy-ending condition; an older ending guide also treats it as evidence that Nanami’s condition has been satisfied. This is a useful check, but the guides do not establish that the conversation alone proves every hidden flag is set.
At the end: choose the route that reunites Riou and Jowy
- Speak with Apple in the headquarters war room. When the endgame conversation asks you to rule, refuse.
- Go to Tenzan Pass. Head to the marked rock where Riou and Jowy made their promise.
- Do not attack Jowy in the duel. Defend on each turn, then refuse his offer. The walkthrough says the fourth-level Bright Shield Rune spell is also among the hidden requirements, so use it as part of the route.
These endgame steps and the additional Rune and Huan–Shu conditions are described in the GameFAQs walkthrough. The sources do not establish precise defense thresholds or a guaranteed reaction-time window, so follow the on-screen prompt and avoid attacking rather than relying on a specific timing or stat formula.

How to recognize the result
An ending guide distinguishes the happy ending by a full-color final portrait of the three friends together. Treat it as a visible result check, not proof by itself that every hidden requirement was met. The important route checkpoints are the full roster before Rockaxe, Nanami’s timely rescue, and the choices at Tenzan Pass.

The conditions above come from StrategyWiki and GameFAQs walkthroughs, including a remaster-specific guide and a legacy PS1 guide. Their descriptions broadly align, but Konami’s official pages do not publish an ending-conditions document. Avoid assuming exact timing or hidden-stat details are identical across every regional release.

- Two teams race to identify their agents from a 5×5 grid, guided by a spymaster who knows each card’s identity
- Spymasters give one-word clues and a number to link multiple cards, encouraging creative thinking
- Teammates guess words matching the clue while avoiding the other team’s agents, bystanders, and the assassin
- Revealing the assassin ends the game instantly, adding high-stakes tension
- Teams may guess up to the clue number plus one, allowing strategic risks or revisiting old clues
For players choosing a current release, Konami lists the collection on digital platforms and physical editions for Nintendo Switch, PS5, and Xbox Series X. Its official page gives March 6, 2025 as the collection’s original release date and June 5, 2025 for the Nintendo Switch 2 release; the Switch 2 physical edition uses a game-key card. See Konami’s official overview for platform and edition details.
