To complete Greyroot’s Rite of the Pollip Wish, find and strike six large purple blooms in Shellwood, then bring the Pollip Hearts they release back to Greyroot. Accept the Wish before searching; for the full route, get Cling Grip first, since some blooms are reached by climbing walls.
Before you search: accept the Wish and get Cling Grip
- Find Greyroot in Shellwood and accept the Rite of the Pollip Wish. You may need to speak to Greyroot twice before the Wish option appears.
- Obtain Cling Grip before attempting the complete sweep. Some locations require wall climbing; Sister Splinter is the recommended source of the ability.
Each large purple bloom contains a Pollip Heart. Strike the bloom with your Needle or weapon to release it. Small purple flowers and falling petals can signal that a large bloom is nearby.
All six Pollip Heart locations
Use the room features and landmarks below rather than another guide’s numbering: walkthroughs list the locations in different orders.
- Central room near Greyroot: In the large central room where the Wish begins, climb the platforms toward the northeast to find a large purple flower.
- Southeast room before the Bellhart exit: Use Cling Grip to climb the right wall, then reach the small platform lined with purple flowers.
- Room above the quest start: In the room almost directly above Greyroot’s starting point, jump left from the main path and float down to the platform beneath it.
- Northeast bouncing room: In the high-ceiling room, use downward strikes on the hanging white bulbs to bounce upward and reach the top-left corner.
- Hidden platform in the central room: About halfway up the central room, look for small purple flowers marking the left wall. Cling to and slide along that wall to reveal a hidden platform.
- Return passage from Bellhart: Take Shellwood’s top-right exit into Bellhart. Drop through Bellhart’s upper section and head left to a passage leading back into a previously inaccessible part of Shellwood. Break the vine wall there to reveal the final bloom.
Turn in the hearts to finish the Wish
After collecting all six Pollip Hearts, return to Greyroot in Shellwood and deliver them. Greyroot rewards you with the Pollip Pouch.

If a heart seems to be missing
- Check the hidden Bellhart return passage. The last bloom is not on the obvious main Shellwood route; reach the passage through upper Bellhart and break its vine wall.
- Inspect walls marked by small purple flowers. One bloom is behind a concealed platform partway up the central room.
- Look for petals and flower clues. Small purple flowers or falling petals can point toward a large bloom.
- Confirm the bloom released its heart. Strike the large flower with your Needle or weapon; finding the flower alone does not collect the item.
