To take on bounties in Avowed, accept contracts from the board in a region’s main settlement, track down each target, and bring the required trophy or proof back to the bounty master beside the board. In Dawnshore, the board is in southern Paradis, north of the Balarok; completing its five contracts also earns the Kithwarder amulet, according to a Dot Esports walkthrough published February 14, 2025.
How to start a bounty hunt
- Find the regional bounty board. In Dawnshore, go to southern Paradis, north of the Balarok. The Dot Esports walkthrough says all five Dawnshore contracts can be accepted there.
- Accept the contracts you want to pursue. Bounties are optional to the main story, and the Dawnshore guide says you can complete the five hunts in any order.
- Track a contract and travel to its target. Taking available contracts before exploring lets you pursue targets when they fit your route. For example, the Dawnshore guide suggests combining Ralga with a trip toward the Godless Ruins, where Octav is found; this is route advice, not a tested or required sequence.
- Defeat the target and collect the required proof. Some contracts require a trophy or other item from the target or encounter. The Yellowbands contract specifically requires five armbands collected from bodies.
- Return to the bounty master beside the board. Hand over the trophy or proof to complete the contract and receive its reward.
Where to find each bounty board
The cross-region guide from Game8 lists boards in the main settlements below. It names the supervisors for the three regions beyond Dawnshore; the Dawnshore walkthrough describes the bounty master as standing beside that board.

The directions, encounter notes, and individual rewards below are reported by Dot Esports’ February 14, 2025 walkthrough. Its combat suggestions are guide advice, not independently tested findings.

What bounty completion rewards
Dot Esports reports that turning in all five Dawnshore contracts also awards the Kithwarder amulet. The guide describes its effects as reducing damage from Kith by 3% while increasing damage from other sources by 10%.

Game8’s cross-region guide reports one unique equipment reward for clearing each regional board: Kithwarder for Dawnshore, Tree of Life for Emerald Stair, Bracers of Bloodletting for Shatterscarp, and Warden’s Oath for Galawain’s Tusks. These reward names come from a third-party guide and are not independently confirmed here. Game8 also says that completing all bounties across all regions awards the Bounty Hunter achievement.
Prepare for the fights
Obsidian’s official Avowed page describes a combat system built around mixing swords, spells, guns, and shields, with spells that can trap, freeze, or burn enemies and ranged bows also available. Choose a setup that suits the encounter: the Dawnshore guide’s recommendations vary by target, from Common gear for Nacib to Fine-quality equipment for several rank-two fights.

For players who find returning enemies disruptive while clearing an area, Obsidian’s Patch 2.1 notes, dated March 25, 2026, document a setting to disable respawning enemies at Settings > Gameplay > Combat. That option concerns enemy respawning generally; the official update does not describe it as a bounty-specific setting.

The available cross-region guide identifies the boards, supervisors, and regional completion rewards for Emerald Stair, Shatterscarp, and Galawain’s Tusks, but it does not provide the target-by-target directions and tactics available for Dawnshore. The information above therefore gives settlement locations for those boards without inferring where their individual targets are.

Obsidian’s February 17, 2026 anniversary update documents New Game Plus after completing the main story and new custom difficulty modifiers. The official anniversary and Patch 2.1 updates do not identify a bounty-specific mechanics change, so they do not establish whether the bounty system itself changed.
