Find Dying Light: The Beast weapon mod blueprints by exploring points of interest, checking vendors, progressing quests, and solving environmental puzzles. The available guides identify mods for three weapon slots—tip, shaft, and grip—but their location lists do not fully agree, so use the routes below as leads and confirm each pickup in your in-game blueprint journal.
How weapon mods and blueprints work
Techland describes tiered mods for weapons and armor that can add effects such as bleed, burn, shock, or improved durability. Its official crafting guide, published August 15, 2025, presents mods as part of the game’s crafting and upgrading systems.
For weapons, the guides group mods by where they fit: tip, shaft, or grip. Slot compatibility matters: a blueprint for one slot is not interchangeable with a different slot. Effects can also have different triggers. Some activate on a critical hit or charged attack; others build charge through hits and then require manual activation. Grip mods are described as passive.
Charms appear as a separate category in one guide, rather than as tip, shaft, or grip mods. They are not included in the weapon-mod checklist below. A guide also says regular melee weapons can support up to three mod slots, while firearms and some special named Legendaries cannot be modded; check a weapon’s own mod interface rather than treating that as a universal rule for every weapon.

Tip mod blueprints: names and location leads
The secondary guides name these tip mods: Acid, Blaze, Flame, Fling, Frost, Ice, Laceration, Slit, Spark, Venom, Voltage, and Puff. The routes below are reported location leads, not a fully reconciled official catalogue. In particular, sources vary on some vendor and location details, including Frost and Flame.
| Blueprint | Reported acquisition lead |
|---|---|
| Acid | Museum Relay Substation |
| Blaze | Factory south of Highway Bus Refuge; access is reported through a roof hatch |
| Flame | Residential Relay; another guide’s details vary |
| Fling | Touristic Relay Station |
| Frost | Guides differ on acquisition details; check vendors and the in-game blueprint journal |
| Ice | Crate associated with the Precious Cargo quest |
| Laceration | No specific route established in the cited location leads; check the blueprint journal and explore points of interest |
| Slit | Hardware Store Dark Zone in the Industrial Park |
| Spark | Gas Station Voltage Pole |
| Venom | Vendor; the cited guides do not establish one consistent vendor location |
| Voltage | Mega Store America Dark Zone |
| Puff | Safe puzzle that uses UV light |
Shaft mod blueprints: names and location leads
The guides name six shaft mods: Avalanche, Bane, Catapult, Inferno, Lightning, and Slaughter. PowerPyx notes a correction to the Catapult location in an update dated November 29, 2025, so use the current page or your journal if an older route does not match your game.
| Blueprint | Reported acquisition lead |
|---|---|
| Avalanche | Town Hall vendor, according to PowerPyx |
| Bane | Island Relay Substation |
| Catapult | Industrial Zone; PowerPyx reported a location correction on November 29, 2025 |
| Inferno | Mined underground room |
| Lightning | Power Plant Safe Zone |
| Slaughter | Named in the shaft-mod checklist, but the cited leads do not establish a route to verify here |
Grip mod blueprints
The named grip mods are Empowerment and Reinforcement. One guide describes Empowerment as a passive damage increase and Reinforcement as a durability boost. A reported lead places both around the Taurus Gas Station Dark Zone, but the route details are not consistent enough to treat that as a guaranteed exact pickup location.
- Empowerment: passive damage increase; check around the Taurus Gas Station Dark Zone.
- Reinforcement: durability boost; check around the Taurus Gas Station Dark Zone.
A practical search order
- Check your blueprint journal. Use it to see which entries you have and to validate a claimed pickup against the version you are playing.
- Clear nearby points of interest. Search relay substations, safe zones, dark zones, stores, industrial locations, and other marked areas. The guides report pickups in explored locations, but not every route is equally well documented.
- Check vendors as you progress. Vendor stock is one of the listed acquisition routes; the guides specifically identify a Town Hall vendor for Avalanche and a vendor for Venom, but do not establish a single universal stock list.
- Follow quest and puzzle leads. The Ice lead is tied to the Precious Cargo quest crate, while Puff is associated with a UV-light safe puzzle. Inspect the environment when a route points to a hatch, underground room, safe, or other puzzle.
- Match each blueprint to its slot and trigger. Once acquired, check the weapon’s mod interface and the blueprint description. Effects may require a critical hit, a charged attack, or charge-building hits followed by manual activation.
How reliable is the “all mods” list?
Techland’s official crafting page confirms the broad mod system, but the exact names and pickup routes here come from secondary guides: PowerPyx, All Things How, and KeenGamer. They differ in completeness and some acquisition details. The available sources do not establish one authoritative, fully reconciled total for the current game build, so treat the names as a working checklist rather than proof that every blueprint has a confirmed route here. Updates may also change item placement.

In-game weapon mods are not community mods
This guide is about collectible blueprints for weapon attachments in the game. External PC/community modifications are different: Techland Support, in an article modified September 25, 2025, says Dying Light: The Beast officially does not support external mods.
It warns that external modifications may corrupt save files or cause performance problems.
