To mute a Turtle Beach Stealth 600, flip its microphone boom up or back. Move the boom forward or down to unmute. The precise wording and confirmation cues vary by generation, so use the position described for your model.
Mute or unmute the microphone
- Locate the adjustable microphone boom attached to an earcup.
- Flip or move the boom to its raised or back position to mute the microphone.
- Move the boom forward or down to unmute it.
- Listen for the confirmation tone documented for your model.
Find the right direction for your Stealth 600
The boom is the mute control in the model guides below, but Turtle Beach describes its position differently between generations. Check the headset or its guide to identify your version.
| Model | Mute | Unmute and indicators |
|---|---|---|
| Original Stealth 600 for PS4/PS4 Pro | Flip the adjustable microphone back. | Flip it forward. Turtle Beach describes a high-low tone for mute and a low-high tone for unmute. |
| Stealth 600 Gen 2 for PS or Xbox | Flip the microphone up. | Flip it back down to unmute. The quick-start guides describe an audible tone when the microphone changes state. |
| Stealth 600 Gen 3 for PlayStation | Flip the microphone all the way back. | Flip it all the way forward. The guide describes a tone at the illustrated transition position and a breathing or pulsing red LED when the headset is paired but muted. |
These directions and indicators come from Turtle Beach documentation for the listed versions. Do not assume that every Stealth 600 generation uses the same tone pattern or status light.
If the microphone still seems unmuted
- Make sure the boom has reached its full raised or back mute position, as applicable to your model.
- Listen for the confirmation tone described in that model’s guide.
- On the Gen 3 PlayStation model, check whether the paired headset’s LED is breathing or pulsing red, the documented muted indicator.
If the microphone still appears live, consult Turtle Beach support for the exact generation and platform. The documented cues above do not establish a complete troubleshooting procedure for a microphone that remains active.
