If it is not responding properly on Xbox One, Logitech’s recovery procedure is to reconnect USB while holding the wheel’s LSB, View, and Xbox buttons. Afterward, test the D-pad on the Xbox home screen before troubleshooting a game.
Let the G920 complete its normal startup calibration
Connect the pedals to the wheel, attach the power adapter, then connect the USB cable to the Xbox. The G920 should turn toward each side and return to center as it initializes. Keep your hands and nearby objects clear while the wheel is moving. This automatic movement is the wheel’s normal startup calibration, not a setting you need to run from an Xbox menu. Logitech’s G920 manual describes this behavior.
Recalibrate an unresponsive G920 on Xbox One
If the wheel is not responding properly on Xbox One, Logitech Support documents this USB reconnection procedure:
- Unplug the G920’s USB cable from the console.
- Press and hold the wheel’s LSB, View, and Xbox buttons at the same time.
- While continuing to hold all three buttons, reconnect the USB cable to the Xbox One.
- Release the buttons when the wheel begins moving through its calibration.
- When it finishes, test the D-pad on the Xbox One home screen. Logitech uses dashboard navigation as the functional check.

Logitech lists the wheel as compatible with Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, but this particular recovery page specifically describes Xbox One; it does not explicitly confirm the same button sequence for Series X|S. Logitech’s product page lists the supported console families.

Identify whether the issue is the wheel, Xbox, or a game
Use the result of the dashboard test to decide what to check next. The G920’s presence on the Xbox home screen and a game’s support for the wheel are separate questions: a wheel can be recognized by the console while a particular title does not support it or uses different control settings.

These are troubleshooting checks recommended by Logitech Support; the result of any one check does not by itself establish a specific hardware fault.

Startup calibration is different from changing steering range
“Calibrate” can mean the wheel’s automatic turn-and-center movement, Logitech’s reconnect procedure for an unresponsive wheel, or steering sensitivity and rotation settings within a game. Logitech’s instructions cover the first two. Steering controls and labels vary by game, and the available sources do not establish a universal Xbox setting that changes the G920’s steering angle across all titles.
If the Xbox dashboard recognizes the wheel but you want a smaller steering angle or different sensitivity, look in the individual game’s controller or wheel settings. Do not assume that a PC setting transfers to Xbox. The G920’s Xbox compatibility also does not guarantee support in every game, including backward-compatible titles; check the game’s own compatibility information.
