Press W to move forward, S to move backward, A to move left, and D to move right. Press Space to jump. You can use the keyboard for basic movement; a mouse is optional, though it helps adjust the camera in Classic mode.

These are Roblox’s documented basic controls in its Play on Roblox beginner guide and default-bindings documentation. The arrow-key alternatives listed there apply to forward and backward movement; A and D are the documented keys for moving left and right.
How to change the camera view
In Classic camera mode, the camera stays in place until you adjust it. Hold the right mouse button and drag to change the viewpoint. In Follow mode, the camera rotates with your avatar as it moves left or right.
To check or change available camera settings, open the in-experience menu and select Settings. Roblox Support explains that camera choices depend on whether the experience developer has locked the camera mode; players cannot necessarily switch modes in every experience. Why WASD might not work in an experience
Roblox experiences can use different computer movement modes. The standard keys are a useful starting point, but an experience may support click-to-move or use a custom control scheme instead of the default controls. Roblox’s ComputerMovementMode documentation lists UserChoice, KeyboardMouse, ClickToMove, and Scriptable. ClickToMove lets you click a destination to move there; Scriptable means the experience uses custom controls instead of Roblox’s default controls.

- Open the experience’s Help menu and check its keyboard and mouse instructions.
- Look for on-screen prompts that explain the experience’s controls.
- If the camera is the issue, open Settings and check the camera options available in that experience.
