To unlock every Multiplayer Mastery Camo in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, earn each weapon’s Military and Special Camos, complete its Gold challenge, then meet the cross-weapon requirements for Diamond, Dark Spine and Dark Matter. Each camo is earned separately for each weapon; unlocking one does not apply it to your other guns.
How the Multiplayer Mastery Camo path works
There are four Multiplayer Mastery Camos, earned in order: Gold, Diamond, Dark Spine and Dark Matter. Gold is based on progress with the individual weapon. The later tiers also require mastery progress on other weapons, followed by a challenge for the weapon you are trying to unlock the camo on.

- Complete the weapon’s Military Camo challenges.
- Unlock both of that weapon’s Special Camos.
- Complete its Gold challenge.
- Meet the weapon-class requirement for Diamond and complete the weapon’s Diamond challenge.
- Meet the cross-class requirement for Dark Spine and complete its challenge.
- Meet the cross-class requirement for Dark Matter and complete its challenge.
The unlock overview in Call of Duty’s Black Ops 6 progression guide describes this sequence and the per-weapon challenges. It also says camo challenges can progress as soon as you have access to a weapon; weapon leveling is not required.
1. Earn the Military Camos
For most weapons, Multiplayer Military Camos advance through headshot milestones. The launch guide lists these standard thresholds:

These are the standard launch-guide milestones for most weapons, not a universal rule for every weapon or a guarantee that every challenge remains unchanged. Open the weapon’s camo challenges in Gunsmith and follow the current in-game requirement if it differs.
2. Unlock both Special Camos
Each weapon has two Special Camos to unlock before its Gold challenge becomes available. Their challenges are weapon-specific, so check the current challenge cards for the weapon you are progressing.

Season 02 changed when an already-unlocked Special Camo can be equipped: the patch notes allow equipping it after unlocking five Military Camos for that weapon. This is an equip-timing rule, not a replacement for the Special Camo unlocks required to open Gold. See the Season 02 patch notes.
3. Complete the four Mastery tiers
Gold
For the weapon you want to gild, earn all nine Military Camos and both of its Special Camos, then complete that weapon’s Gold challenge.

Diamond
Earn Gold on the required number of weapons in the same weapon class, then complete the Diamond challenge for the target weapon. Activision’s launch guide used seven Assault Rifles as an example. That is a launch-era example, not a verified current threshold for every class.
Dark Spine
Earn Diamond on the required number of weapons across classes, then complete the target weapon’s Dark Spine challenge. The launch guide’s example used all 33 weapons available at launch; it should not be treated as the current roster requirement.

Dark Matter
Earn Dark Spine on the required number of weapons across classes, then complete the target weapon’s Dark Matter challenge. The launch guide also used 33 launch weapons for this example. Check the current in-game challenge rather than assuming that launch-era count still applies.

Open the weapon in Gunsmith and view its camo challenges. That display is the practical source for its current Military and Special criteria, mastery challenges and the number of weapons required for the next tier. The official launch overview explains the system, but does not provide a complete current challenge table for every weapon or confirm a current total weapon count. Later roster additions and updates make launch examples unsuitable as universal current requirements.

- Check each weapon separately; a camo earned on one gun does not unlock it on another.
- Use the challenge card’s displayed requirement when a weapon has a special-case criterion or the count differs from a launch example.
- Do not wait to level a weapon before starting camo progress; the official guide says leveling is not required.
