How Strands works
Strands is a word-search-style puzzle. In the mechanics described by Try Hard Guides, you connect adjacent letters in any direction without reusing letters or crossing a path. The spangram describes the theme and stretches between opposite sides of the board; completing the puzzle uses every grid letter. Finding three non-theme words of at least four letters earns a hint that highlights a theme word. These mechanics are reported by a secondary guide rather than quoted from the NYT rules page.
