The Fortnite code for The Batman Who Laughs Outfit came with the physical Batman/Fortnite: Foundation #1 comic, but it expired on November 12, 2025. As of October 8, 2026, buying a copy—even a sealed one—should not be expected to unlock the outfit. The comic’s DC UNIVERSE INFINITE digital edition did not include a redeemable Fortnite code.
What the comic code included
Epic said each code in the physical Batman/Fortnite: Foundation #1 unlocked three items: The Batman Who Laughs Outfit, Robin’s Perch Back Bling, and the Dark Days Loading Screen. DC also specified that the bonus code came with the physical comic, not its digital edition.
DC’s listing for the comic identifies the digital DC UNIVERSE INFINITE edition as not including a redeemable Fortnite bonus code. A digital purchase therefore was not a route to these rewards.
Can you redeem the code now?
No. Epic’s Foundation announcement gave November 12, 2025 as the code expiration date. That date has passed, so an unused code should be treated as expired rather than as a working way to obtain the outfit.

Epic’s original instructions are useful only as a record of how valid codes were redeemed:
- Go to fortnite.com/redeem and sign in to the Epic Games account where you wanted the rewards.
- Confirm that the intended account is signed in, enter the code in the access-code field, and select REDEEM.
- Review the items and select ACTIVATE.
- Launch Fortnite using that same Epic account and enter Battle Royale. The rewards appeared in a gift box and then in the Locker.
Was the outfit available another way?
At the comic’s launch, Epic also offered The Batman Who Laughs Outfit and Robin’s Perch Back Bling in the Fortnite Item Shop. That shop offer did not include the Dark Days Loading Screen, which Epic described as exclusive to the Foundation code.

The launch announcement does not establish whether the outfit is in the Item Shop today. Check Fortnite’s current in-game shop for present availability; do not assume the old shop offer is still active.

Comic release and buying caveat
Epic announced a print release date of October 26, 2021, with a suggested retail price of $4.99 for the standard comic or $5.99 for a premium variant. The announced launch regions were North America, France, Germany, the Czech Republic, Italy, Spain, Mexico, and Brazil, with limited copies expected in additional regions. Those were launch details, not evidence of present stock or pricing; retailers set availability.

- It ensures you get the best usage for a longer period
If you buy the comic now, treat it as a reading or collecting purchase. The code’s expiration means neither a new, used, nor sealed copy should be presented as a way to obtain the Fortnite rewards.
