To open the Lead Researcher’s Office puzzle box in Resident Evil Requiem, get Corrosive from the East Wing Conference Room, use it on the box’s padlock, then enter Star → Sun → Moon → Sun. The box contains the Sun Quartz and a Leatherbound Notebook.
Where to find the puzzle box
The box is in the Lead Researcher’s Office on the second floor of the Care Center’s East Wing. You need Corrosive before you can open it; pick it up in the Conference Room along the East Wing corridor. PowerPyx’s all-puzzles guide identifies the location and prerequisite.
How to open the box
- Go to the Conference Room in the East Wing and collect Corrosive.
- In the Lead Researcher’s Office, use Corrosive on the puzzle box’s padlock.
- Enter Star → Sun → Moon → Sun.
- Take the Sun Quartz and Leatherbound Notebook from the box.
The office photographs provide the in-game clue to the sequence. If you prefer to enter it directly, the button positions are Star (right), Sun (left), and Moon (middle), as described in PC Gamer’s February 27, 2026 guide.
