How do I unlock the Patch 7.45 mounts and minions in FFXIV?
Progress through the three duties in order. You can enter the two variant dungeons solo or with up to four players; Criterion requires a party of up to four. Variant routes are useful both for the Personal Spoils chances and for satisfying the Advanced unlock condition. Advanced, in turn, leads to the Criterion duty and its Manuscript reward route.
- Unlock The Merchant’s Tale. Be a level 90 Disciple of War or Magic and complete the Endwalker main scenario. Speak with Osmon in Old Sharlayan at X:11.9, Y:13.3, then accept A Spellbinding Read from Shallow Moor at X:12.0, Y:13.3.
- Run the base variant. Explore different routes and defeat the distinct route-end bosses. This is the reported source of Personal Spoils coffer chances for Little Mermaid and Magic Lamp, and the route-boss progress needed to unlock Advanced.
- Unlock and run The Merchant’s Tale (Advanced). After completing A Spellbinding Read, defeating the three unique bosses at the ends of different base-dungeon routes, and reaching level 100 as a Disciple of War or Magic, speak with Memolivia in Old Sharlayan at X:11.9, Y:13.3. Earn Corvosi Brass here for the reported Carpet and Sea-Beast exchanges.
- Unlock Another Merchant’s Tale. Defeat all bosses in Advanced, then speak with Osmon in Old Sharlayan. The Criterion duty is the reported source of Corvosi Manuscripts for the Genie of the Lamp.
- Make the exchanges. Visit Trisassant in Old Sharlayan at X:11.9, Y:13.3 to exchange Corvosi Brass or Corvosi Manuscripts for the collectibles listed above.
Where do I get Corvosi Brass?
Earn Corvosi Brass in The Merchant’s Tale (Advanced). Square Enix confirms that Trisassant in Old Sharlayan (X:11.9, Y:13.3) exchanges Corvosi Brass. The secondary item list reports the Royal Magicked Carpet at 100 Brass and the Soothing Sea-Beast at 12 Brass; those item-by-item prices are not stated in the official patch notes.

Do not assume that every feature introduced in Patch 7.45 has the same expansion requirement. Square Enix distinguishes content that requires Dawntrail registration from features available by installing the patch, so check the applicable duty’s access requirements and your service-account entitlements.
