In Jurassic World Evolution, use the ACU helicopter to tranquilize a dinosaur, then send an ACU transport team to pick it up and choose a valid destination. The ACU must be built, connected and powered. These steps are for the original game, not Jurassic World Evolution 2.
Before you start: make the ACU available
Build the ACU Center, connect it to the park’s path network and provide power. Its menu is where you dispatch both the helicopter and transport teams. The PS4 guide describes opening the ACU menu with L1; controls can differ on other platforms, so use the equivalent menu selection on PC, Xbox or Switch.

How to tranquilize a dinosaur

Open the ACU Center and select the helicopter.

Choose “Add new task” and select the tranquilize task if it is not already selected.

Target the dinosaur and confirm the task. Wait for the ACU team to hit it and for it to become sedated. The team can miss, so allow additional attempts if needed.

How to move the sedated dinosaur

Once the dinosaur is down, open the ACU Center and select “Transport teams.”

Select the sedated dinosaur you want to pick up.

Choose its destination. The pickup is marked with a red flare and the chosen drop-off point with blue flares.

Check the placement before confirming: if the game marks the destination red, it has rejected that location. Choose a valid spot in the intended enclosure or area.

Let the transport team complete the job. ACU upgrades can improve transport and sedation times, but the cited guides do not give specific time reductions.

What if you want to use a Ranger Team?
Ranger-team tranquilizing is a separate campaign unlock, not the same as dispatching the ACU helicopter. Frontier’s official update 1.12 notes state: “The Ranger Team tranquilise dinosaurs ability is unlocked via the JW campaign (3 stars on Isla Sorna).” This unlock detail applies to the Ranger Team ability; the steps above describe the ACU workflow.
