Where to change your hairstyle and appearance
Visit a salon to change your hairstyle, hair color, eyebrows, and other appearance details. The official Pokémon Legends: Z-A customization overview also describes solid hair colors, color blocking, balayage, lip color, and eyelashes.
Salons and boutiques become accessible as you advance through the main story. A Game8 guide excerpt says the shops are inside malls that unlock with story progress, but it does not establish an exact mission or route. The official overview identifies boutiques as the place to buy apparel, including garments such as tops, bottoms, and hats.
How to claim the Holo-X and Holo-Y outfits
These two apparel sets are tied to the Mega Dimension DLC. After purchasing the DLC, use the in-game menu to claim them:

The official DLC instructions say you need approximately one hour of game play before you can readjust your outfit and appearance. A paid Nintendo Switch Online membership is not required for this claim process. The DLC is compatible with Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2, and can be accessed with either the base game or Nintendo Switch 2 Edition.
How to get outfits inspired by other trainers
A Game8 search-result excerpt for its “How to Get All NPC Outfits” guide reports that Mega Dimension side missions award matching NPC outfits. The available excerpt does not identify a complete set of missions and rewards, or establish which hairstyles, if any, accompany each outfit. Treat individual outfit and hairstyle unlock claims as unconfirmed unless you can check the mission reward in-game or consult a current, accessible item-by-item guide.
