On PC or Mac using the EA app, open Library > The Sims 4 > Manage > Manage add-ons. Installed Packs appear under Installed add-ons & in-game content; owned Packs that still need installing appear under Owned add-ons. In the game, check Marketplace > My Collection > Manage Storage to inspect a Pack’s installation and active status.
Find Packs in the EA app on PC or Mac
- Open the EA app and select Library.
- Select The Sims 4, then choose Manage.
- Open Manage add-ons.
- Look under Installed add-ons & in-game content for Packs that are installed, or under Owned add-ons for Packs you own but have not installed.
- To install an owned Pack, select the Download icon beside it in Owned add-ons.
EA’s missing-content guidance also directs EA app players to the game’s three-dot menu and Manage add-ons. See EA’s guide to installing and managing Packs and its guide to finding missing EA app content.
Check Pack status inside The Sims 4
- From the Main Menu, select Marketplace. In Live, Build, or Create a Sim mode, you can open it with the shopping-cart icon.
- Choose My Collection, then Manage Storage.
- Find the Pack tile and check its label and checkbox.
EA’s Manage Storage instructions describe a green Installed label. For the in-game active check, the Pack’s checkbox should be selected and its tile should show a green Active label. Installation and active selection are separate states: use the indicators to check each one. EA says this in-game Marketplace check is available on PC, Mac, PlayStation, and Xbox. See EA’s Pack management instructions.
Check a Pack downloaded just now
For a very recent download, open the three-dot Options menu from the Main Menu or Live/Build mode and select Download Manager. Look for Install Complete beside the Pack. The Download Manager only shows very recent downloads, so use Manage add-ons or Manage Storage for an older Pack.

Find Packs on console or through another PC launcher
PlayStation or Xbox
Open the console’s Manage game section to find downloadable content. You can also use the in-game Marketplace > My Collection > Manage Storage route to inspect Pack tiles. EA’s console guide covers getting started with The Sims 4 on console.
Steam, Epic Games, or EA app Marketplace purchases
EA says Packs bought with real money through The Sims 4 Marketplace should automatically download to the PC platform used to play, including the EA app, Steam, or Epic Games; Marketplace content may still need to be downloaded before it can be used. In the EA app, select The Sims 4 and open its Add Ons tab to find Marketplace content. See EA’s Marketplace overview.

- From camp Getaways to imaginative play: the fun Sims have as kids will set the stage for the rest of their lives.
- The love of play begins during childhood and lasts a lifetime. Sims will have new skills to engage with: Papercraft, Entomology, Diving, and Archery.
If a Pack is not listed
- Check the platform and account or storefront used to buy or download it, then look in that platform’s owned-content area.
- For EA app, check Manage add-ons; for console, check Manage game.
- If it was downloaded recently, check Download Manager for Install Complete. It may not appear there once it is no longer a very recent download.
- If the Pack is absent from the relevant owned-content list, contact EA Help. These menu checks locate content; they do not establish why a purchase, account link, or installation may have failed.
Packs are not Mods
Official Packs are add-on content managed through the launcher or Marketplace. Mods and custom content are different: on PC or Mac, EA’s instructions place downloaded Mods in the user’s Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/Mods folder, and Mods are not available on PlayStation or Xbox. The Mods folder is not where you check for official Packs. See EA’s Mods instructions.
