This is the Saturday, March 29, 2025, NYT Mini Crossword—not today’s puzzle. Start with the hints below if you want to keep solving; the complete across and down answers follow the spoiler warning. Yahoo and Parade publish the same dated clue-and-answer set.
Hints for the March 29, 2025 Mini
- Try short, familiar fills first: “Author Rand” is three letters, and “___Tok” is another short entry.
- Egypt’s boy king is clued by a three-letter name.
- For longer answers, use crossings: the Hawaiian term for head honchos has seven letters, and the economy clue asks for its component groups.
- “Nature,” “Nova” and “NewsHour” point to the same public-broadcasting category. ATL and LAX are examples of what Delta uses as a network location.
- The clue about big teeth is a playful wordplay clue.

How the trickier clues resolve
Use crossings for less familiar fills
KAHUNAS fits the Hawaiian clue for head honchos; BRITISH identifies the spelling style in “licence” and “favour,” while SECTORS supplies the economy’s chunks. Crossings help verify these longer entries rather than relying on clue wording alone.
Read the clue’s category or wordplay
“Nature,” “Nova” and “NewsHour” are each a PBS SHOW. ATL and LAX are HUBs in Delta’s network. The big-teeth clue is answered with SAW, giving the line a playful double meaning.
