1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFor the default [Special Dreamer] Special Week, start with a Turf career focused on Medium or Long races and use Pace or Late tactics. Keep Speed and Power competitive, then add enough Stamina for the distance; her Stamina and Wit growth bonuses make those stats efficient to train, not substitutes for a balanced build. The right support deck depends on your scenario, cards, server and goal, so there is no single best lineup for every run.
Start with Special Week’s aptitudes and your goal
The recommendations here apply to the database’s default [Special Dreamer] Special Week. Check the record for another outfit or form before reusing them. Her profile is available from Cygames’ official Special Week page; the build-specific values below come from the unofficial Umamusume.Run Special Week entry.
| Build factor | Default-form listing | What it means for a career run |
|---|---|---|
| Strong aptitudes | Turf A; Medium A; Long A; Pace A; Late A (Umamusume.Run, accessed 2026) | These are the natural starting points. Choose between Medium and Long based on the career goal, and use Pace or Late unless a particular race plan calls for another tactic. |
| More specialized aptitudes | Mile C; End C; Short F; Front G; Dirt G (Umamusume.Run, accessed 2026) | These are less straightforward directions. Consider them only with a clear reason and suitable aptitude adjustments or other support. |
| Growth bonuses | +20% Stamina; +10% Wit (listed as “intelligence” by Umamusume.Run, accessed 2026) | Training these stats benefits from her growth bonuses, but Speed and Power still need attention. |
| 3-star base stats | Speed 83; Stamina 88; Power 98; Guts 90; Wit 91 (Umamusume.Run, accessed 2026) | These are database-listed starting stats, not target values or proof of an optimal build. |
Cygames describes training, skill selection, race tactics, inheritance and support cards as parts of the game’s systems on its official Game System page. For a general career run, use the aptitudes above as your default, then adapt to the races the scenario asks you to clear.
Set training priorities by race distance
Keep Speed and Power in the build
Speed should remain a core training priority. Power also matters; a Stamina or Wit growth bonus is not a reason to treat it as disposable. Use training opportunities to build both alongside the stats needed for your target distance.

Scale Stamina to the race plan
Longer races generally call for more Stamina than Medium races. The figures below are broad career-build examples from PC Gamer’s July 28, 2025 guide, not official thresholds, current PvP breakpoints or a validated Special Week prescription.
| Career distance | Illustrative target line | Source and qualification |
|---|---|---|
| Medium | About 800 Speed, 450 Stamina, 500 Power, 300 Wit | PC Gamer, July 28, 2025; general career guidance, not Special Week-specific or a current competitive guarantee. |
| Long | About 750 Speed, 650 Stamina, 500 Power, 300 Wit | PC Gamer, July 28, 2025; general career guidance, not Special Week-specific or a current competitive guarantee. |
Use these as reference points when planning a career run, not as numbers to force onto every scenario. The appropriate balance changes with race goals, available training and the rest of your setup.
Rank #2
Use Wit for more than its growth bonus
Wit is worth training as part of a balanced build, particularly because Special Week has a listed +10% growth bonus. Consider it alongside the demands of your skills and races rather than treating the bonus as a fixed target that overrides Speed, Stamina or Power needs.
Build a flexible support deck, not a universal lineup
A practical starting point is a Speed core, with Stamina coverage for Medium or Long goals and other slots chosen to address the needs of your card pool and scenario. A general beginner and career approach favors a majority of Speed cards, then adds coverage for distance needs. This is a starting principle, not a rule that every run should follow.

- Medium or Long career: Keep Speed well supported and include Stamina coverage when the race schedule requires it.
- Long-distance stamina needs: Consider whether your available cards can help with recovery skills as well as Stamina training.
- Other slots: Choose Power or Wit support according to the gaps in your deck and the scenario’s demands.
- When comparing example decks: Check the card levels, scenario and assumptions behind them. Umamusume.Run displays simulation-generated alternatives, including a deck with three Guts cards and two Speed cards; that output does not establish a best deck for every player.
Support-card availability, card levels, inheritance, scenario and event goals all affect the result. Without those details, a named card list would imply a level of universality the available build information does not support.
Choose skills and tactics to fit the race
Cygames’ official Game System page says, in English translation from the Japanese original: “Training is important, but acquiring skills is also important to winning races! Choose skills that suit your assigned Uma Musume!” Treat skill selection as part of the build rather than an afterthought, and compare a skill’s usefulness for your race plan with its skill-point cost.

For a Long-distance plan, recovery skills can help address Stamina needs when they are available and worth their cost. The available sources do not establish a definitive current Special Week skill ranking, so choose based on the race and the build you are actually training.
Use Pace or Late as your normal starting tactics because both are listed A for this form. Cygames advises choosing race tactics to fit the situation; your target race and plan, rather than a blanket rule, should decide when to adjust.

For PvP, rebuild around the event
A career build is meant to get through its training goals; it should not automatically be treated as an optimized Champions Meeting build. Competitive setup depends on the specific event’s course, weather, distance, running style and opponents, as well as your scenario and card collection. No date-stamped official ranking in the cited sources establishes one current Special Week setup for a specified server and mode.
Before tuning for PvP, identify the event and form, then build around its conditions. The career target lines above are historical general guidance and should not be read as current PvP breakpoints.
Quick Recap
What to confirm before you optimize
- The exact Special Week form you are training.
- Your server and training scenario.
- Whether the goal is career completion or a particular PvP event.
- The relevant race distance and your available, leveled support cards.
