To make a Vow of Allegiance in Deepwoken, stand near the player you want to ally with and say in chat: “Wanna make a vow of allegiance [name]?” Replace [name] with their player name. They must reply “yes” and accept the confirmation prompt.
How to make the vow
- Move close to the player you want to ally with.
- In chat, say: “Wanna make a vow of allegiance [name]?” Replace
[name]with the target player’s name. - Ask them to reply “yes”.
- Have them accept the confirmation window that appears.
The Deepwoken community wiki says this does not require a particular stat or Talent: Deepwoken Wiki: Vows.
What a Vow of Allegiance does
A Vow of Allegiance applies to an individual player. It makes that player count as an ally for relevant abilities and damage calculations; it does not grant complete damage immunity. Guildmates already count as allies, so the wiki says they do not need an individual vow.
How it differs from other vows and alliances
The mechanic described here is the Vow of Allegiance, not the separate Vow of Mastery. It is a player-to-player vow, not a guild-to-guild alliance feature. A third-party guide also distinguishes player vows from guild-level alliances: Game Rant: How to Make an Alliance in Deepwoken.

Persistence and limits
The community wiki says vows persist on a character slot and that a slot can make up to 50 allegiances. It also says a Yun’Shul wish at the Temple of Hearts can break vows, but removes all vows on that slot. These are community-wiki details rather than official developer documentation, so confirm them in-game before relying on them.
