It stores scale in separate types—such as base, height, and width—and gives operators commands to inspect and change those values. Other mods can use Pehkui’s API to adjust entity size and scaling delay, and may also affect size-dependent properties such as movement speed or reach.
How Pehkui changes an entity’s size
Pehkui adds scale data to entities rather than treating size as one all-purpose measurement. Its default scale types can be changed independently, and some types are affected by others. That distinction matters when a command names a specific scale type: changing height, for example, is not necessarily the same as changing the entity’s overall base scale.
The project documents that other mods can use Pehkui’s API to manipulate entity size and how quickly scaling occurs. Its README gives movement speed, explosion size, and reach distance as examples of properties mod developers can make depend on size. These are capabilities, not a guarantee that every installed mod uses them or that every entity responds identically. Pehkui on GitHub
Default scale types
| Scale type | What it changes | Relationship to other types |
|---|---|---|
pehkui:base |
Generic scale | Not stated by the project description. |
pehkui:width |
Width, length, and depth | Affected by base scale. |
pehkui:height |
Height | Affected by base scale. |
pehkui:hitbox_width |
Hitbox width, length, and depth | Affected by width scale. |
These types help explain why two entities with changed scale settings may not have identical proportions or hitboxes. The project’s scale-type documentation is on the Pehkui Modrinth page.

How to change size with the /scale command
If no other installed mod provides a way to rescale entities, Pehkui’s project page documents the /scale command family for operators. Commands can set, adjust, inspect, or reset scale, and can change the delay between scale changes. Some forms accept a scale type and an optional target entity; use syntax supported by the Pehkui version installed in your world.
| Purpose | Documented example |
|---|---|
| Set a scale value | /scale set <value> [<entity>] |
| Set a named scale type | /scale set <scale_type> <value> [<entity>] |
| Read scale | /scale get [<entity>] |
| Reset a named scale type | /scale reset <scale_type> [<entity>] |
| Set scaling delay | /scale delay set <ticks> [<entity>] |
| Set persistence after respawn | /scale persist set (true|false) [<entity>] |
The command documentation also lists operations to add, subtract, multiply, or divide scale values, compute scale, and get or set delay. Permissions apply: the project describes this command use case for operators. Check the live command documentation for the exact syntax available in your installed version.
Choosing and installing the right Pehkui build
Pehkui is for Minecraft Java Edition, and its available files depend on both Minecraft version and mod loader. The project lists Fabric, Quilt, Forge, and NeoForge variants, but does not describe them as equally active: Fabric/Quilt receives features, updates, and fixes first, while Forge and NeoForge are less actively supported. The project page and repository provide version and dependency details; verify the file matches your game version and loader before installing.
For the current file list and loader-specific requirements, use the Modrinth project page and GitHub repository. Compatibility can change as Minecraft and loader versions advance, so an older guide or download may not match your setup.

- The classic UNO card game builds fun on game night with a Minecraft theme.
- UNO Minecraft features a deck and storage tin decorated with graphics from the popular video game.
- Players match colors and numbers to the card on top of the discard pile as in the classic game.
- The Creeper card unique to this deck forces other players to draw 3 cards.
- Makes a great gift for kid, teen, adult and family game nights with 2 to 10 players ages 7 years and older, especially Minecraft and video game fans.
What happens if you remove Pehkui?
The project warns that removing Pehkui returns entities to normal size. Reinstalling the mod does not restore their previous sizes. If a world or modpack relies on custom scales, account for that behavior before removing Pehkui. The persistence command can preserve scale after respawn, but it does not change the stated behavior when the mod itself is removed. Pehkui project details
