If you mean the pixelated mosaic that appears when Sims are nude or using the toilet, the documented option covered here makes the mosaic smaller—it does not remove it. The Mod The Sims listing for Smaller Censor / Mosaic dates to September 2014, and its current compatibility with your game version is not established. Check the creator’s latest compatibility information before installing it.
What the censor mod changes
Smaller Censor / Mosaic replaces the large censor mosaic with a smaller one. It does not provide a confirmed no-mosaic or fully uncensored option. Its listing says it affects the mosaic shown when Sims are nude or using the toilet.

How to install it
- Check the creator’s page. Visit Smaller Censor / Mosaic and look for compatibility information for the version of The Sims 4 installed on your computer. Do not assume the older files are current.
- Download and extract the file. Follow the listing’s instructions and extract the mod’s
.packagefile. - Place it in the Mods folder. The listing directs players to use
Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/Mods. - Enable custom content and mods if needed. In Game Options, go to
Other > Enable Custom Content and Mods. EA’s update guidance recommends checking the creator’s compatibility information before enabling mods after a game update. - Restart and verify. Restart the game, then check whether the mosaic is smaller in the situations described by the mod listing.
Check for conflicts or game problems
The listing says this mod can conflict with other mods that change how censoring is rendered. Avoid using multiple censor-rendering overrides together unless their creators document that they are compatible.

If the game behaves unexpectedly, remove the mod and check the creator’s page for an updated file. EA notes that game updates can make mods stop working and recommends checking with the mod creator. EA also says it does not pre-screen, endorse, or support specific mods; download only from a creator or source you trust.
Protect your save while troubleshooting
EA recommends testing the game with mods disabled to check whether the game itself works. If you do this, exit without saving before re-enabling mods: EA warns that saving while mods are disabled may remove mod content from the save. What EA’s mod policy says
EA says mods must be non-commercial and distributed free of charge, though creators may offer a reasonable early-access period before making the full mod available to all players for free. EA’s policy also states: “Maxis and EA don’t pre-screen, endorse, or support specific Mods or Custom Content.” Read EA’s The Sims 4 Policy on Mods for its terms and guidance.
