Roblox does not publish a standard length for voice-chat suspensions. The duration depends on the violation and the user’s moderation history, so check the notice or your account status for the restriction on your account.
Where to check your suspension length
Start with the moderation notification Roblox sent about the action. It is the best place to find the duration and any available appeal option. Roblox’s Content Moderation on Roblox guidance says the duration and type of action vary according to the violation and the user’s history. It gives no voice-chat-specific duration range or schedule.
Do not assume that a duration reported by another player applies to your case. Roblox’s guidance does not establish a universal number of minutes or days for voice-chat suspensions.
What a voice-chat suspension can affect
Roblox says violations of its rules may lead to suspension or removal from Voice Chat, as well as further moderation on the Roblox account. The action may therefore be limited to voice access or have broader account consequences; check the wording of your notice to see what Roblox restricted.

Roblox’s Terms describe voice moderation as automatic speech recognition that transcribes voice into text, followed by an in-house AI model that classifies language. Roblox says this operates in real time and may result in a temporary suspension or ban for Community Standards violations. The Terms explain the enforcement process, but do not specify a standard suspension length.
Why durations can differ
Roblox says it considers the violation and the user’s history when deciding what action to take. It also says repeated violations may lead to more severe consequences. Its general moderation guidance mentions a 20-minute timeout as an example of a consequence that has already elapsed; that example is not a voice-chat suspension rule or a schedule for future cases.

How to appeal a voice-chat moderation action
- Read the moderation notice. Roblox says the notice indicates whether you can appeal through Violations & Appeals or the Support Form.
- Submit through the route named in the notice. Only the account owner may appeal. Roblox’s Appeal Your Content or Account Moderation guidance says most appeals must be submitted within 30 days of the moderation action. Users in the EU have six months to appeal an initial moderation action.
- Wait for the review. Roblox says an appeal gives its Appeals team a chance to review the case, but does not guarantee the consequence will be removed. Duplicate appeals for an action that has already been reviewed will not be reviewed.
Roblox also cautions that an appeal may not be readily applicable after a consequence has elapsed, using a 20-minute timeout as an example. Check your notice for the options available in your case.
