Plan on about 12–15 hours for a broad playthrough of Astro Bot. A MeriStation review estimated 15–20 hours for a run that rescues every Bot, but that is not a definitive time for strict 100% completion: estimates cover different goals, and the time needed depends on what you count, how much you find on your first visit, and how you handle optional challenges.
How long does Astro Bot take to beat?
MeriStation reported a developer estimate of 12–15 hours for the game, noting that hunting down secrets and pursuing 100% adds time. That is a reported estimate, not a controlled measurement of players’ completion times. MeriStation’s September 2, 2024 preview

What counts as 100% in Astro Bot?
Completion can mean different things: finishing the story, rescuing all Bots, finding every collectible and secret level, or earning every trophy. Keep the goal in mind when comparing times; a Bot-focused estimate is not automatically an estimate for every completion marker.

PowerPyx’s September 2024 walkthrough counts 430 collectible locations: 300 Bots, 120 Puzzle Pieces, and 10 Lost Galaxy secret levels. - Puzzle Pieces: 120 are included in that count; they unlock areas in the Crash Site hub.
- Lost Galaxy: The walkthrough lists 10 secret levels. Completing those ten unlocks an additional secret level.
What makes a 100% run take longer?
Missed collectibles and cleanup
Levels remain replayable after the story, so you can return for missed items. Collecting as much as you can on a first visit reduces the amount of backtracking later, while a run that leaves many gaps for cleanup will take longer.

Optional levels and platforming challenges
Optional and secret content extends a run beyond the main story. MeriStation specifically notes that platforming challenges can add difficulty to a full-completion goal, so time spent retrying them varies with a player’s comfort with platforming.
Your definition of completion
A story clear, an all-Bots run, and a run that also finds every collectible, secret level, and trophy are different targets. Published time estimates should be compared only when they describe the same target and include similar amounts of replay and cleanup.

Where can you play Astro Bot?
Astro Bot is a full-sized, single-player adventure exclusive to PS5. PlayStation describes it as featuring more than 50 planets and 300 Bots to rescue, but its official game page does not publish a completion-time estimate. PlayStation’s ASTRO BOT page
The PlayStation page also lists an ASTRO BOT Joyful Limited Edition DualSense controller. It is an optional themed accessory, not a requirement for finishing the game.
