Epic says both are required for online play.
Accept both agreements in Rocket League
- Launch Rocket League and open the Main Menu.
- Select Settings, then the Extras tab.
- Select Legal Agreements.
- Open and read the Epic Games Terms of Service, then select OK to accept.
- Open and read the Privacy Policy, then select OK to accept.
Epic says players must accept both documents to play online. If the terms change, the game may ask you to review and accept them again the next time you log in. Epic’s Rocket League support instructions explain the prompt and menu route.
If the license agreement prompt keeps returning
Confirm both documents were accepted
Return to Settings > Extras > Legal Agreements and make sure you have opened and accepted both the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Accepting only one does not meet Epic’s stated requirement for online play.
Try clearing the console cache
Epic’s support article recommends this console-cache step if the message persists:
- Turn off the console.
- Unplug its power cable and wait at least two minutes.
- Reconnect the cable and turn the console on.
Consider deleting Rocket League save data only as a later step
Epic also lists platform-specific save-data deletion steps. This removes Rocket League save data from the selected profile or location, so check the current official instructions for your platform and understand the effect before proceeding.
- Xbox: Rocket League > press the Menu button > Manage game and add-ons > Saved Data > choose the affected player profile > Delete Everywhere.
- Nintendo Switch: System Settings > Data Management > Delete Save Data > Rocket League > choose the affected player profile > Delete Save Data.
- PS4 or PS5: Settings > Application Saved Data Management > Console Storage > Delete > Rocket League > Delete and confirm.
Use the platform directions in Epic’s support article if the menu labels or steps differ on your console.

If you see the prompt while installing on PC
During installation through the Epic Games Launcher, Epic may ask you to review its Terms of Service. If that prompt appears, read the terms and click Accept to continue. See Epic’s Rocket League installation instructions.
