At the Trembling Woods Mysterious Energy site, align three layers of the mural: use the right turnstile for the background, the middle wheel for the large ring, and Stab to operate the broken left mechanism and move the two smaller rings. When the symbols line up, descend below the mural and collect the Abyss Artifact from the Abyss Cresset.
Where to find the Trembling Woods puzzle
Look for the Mysterious Energy marker in Trembling Woods. PC Gamer describes the site as north of Willow River and southeast of Hernand’s starting area. PowerPyx places it in Demeniss, Wells Estate, southeast of Galleypulley. Use the marker and those named landmarks to orient yourself rather than relying on either regional description alone.
How to align the mural
Each control moves a different layer. Use the mural’s symbols as visual targets; the guides do not provide a universal turn count or numeric code.

Use the right turnstile to align the background
Rotate the right wheel until the background mural shows the large star or compass at the upper right, the small moon near the bottom, and the eclipse symbol to the left.

Use the middle wheel to align the large ring
Turn the middle wheel until the opening in the large ring frames the star or compass symbol.

Use Stab to turn the broken left mechanism
The left mechanism has no handle. Stand so your Stab attack enters the slot where the handle would have been, then use Stab to wedge your sword into the mechanism and turn it. Position the two smaller rings so they frame the moon and eclipse symbols.
PC Gamer lists Shift plus right mouse button for PC, and RB plus Triangle/Y on controller. These are the bindings given by that guide; patch-specific or platform-wide variations are not established.
Check the fit of the rings against the mural as you turn them. If a symbol is not framed, adjust the wheel controlling that layer rather than looking for a fixed number of rotations.

How to claim the Abyss Artifact
Once all three layers are aligned, the puzzle opens access below the mural. Drop down and interact with the Abyss Cresset to collect the Abyss Artifact. PowerPyx describes water draining to reveal the Cresset; make sure to descend and claim the reward rather than stopping when the mechanism activates.
