Where to find the wall puzzle
The puzzle is part of Echoes of Old Battles in the Northern Vow Ruins, in Qinghe’s Verdant Wilds. Speak with Lie Bujin to begin the quest. The route to the mechanism requires completing several steps first.
- Clear the bandit area and defeat Zhang Bao.
- Take the map from the chest and use it to find the four fire contraptions. Light all four; a pressure plate then appears in the training yard.
- Use Mighty Drop on the pressure plate to open the underground passage.
- Learn the Yanyun Oath gesture from the corpse in the passage, then perform it at the large statue to activate the wall mechanism.
Set the symbols on the two walls
Read the inscription as two parts: 山 河 寸 土 on the left and 誓 死 不 易 on the right. The required wall settings are:
- Left wall: 漂
- Right wall: 百 and 移

What to do after solving it
When the inscription is correct, the heavy door opens. Continue through the chamber and use the lever behind the waterfall to open the next gate.
