To share Dead by Daylight progress between Xbox and PC, link both platform accounts to a Behaviour Account, then enable Cross-Progression and sync your game data. Linking by itself is not enough—and syncing is irreversible with respect to unlinking the platform accounts, so verify which accounts you have connected before you proceed.
How do I link my Xbox Dead by Daylight account to PC?
Behaviour supports Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S alongside Steam, Epic Games Store, and Windows Store for Cross-Progression. Follow these steps using the Xbox account and the specific PC storefront account where you own or play the game.
- Update and launch the game. Behaviour recommends launching the latest version before setting up Cross-Progression. Its FAQ makes this a mandatory prerequisite for Nintendo Switch, but does not describe it as mandatory for Xbox or PC.
- Create or sign in to a Behaviour Account. If you already have one, sign in and open the account connections page. See Behaviour’s Cross-Progression FAQ.
- Enable Cross-Progression and link your accounts. Select Xbox and the correct PC platform, then link the accounts you use to play. The official setup announcement describes the sequence as creating or logging in to a Behaviour Account, enabling Cross-Progression, selecting platforms and linking platform accounts, and syncing progress: Dead by Daylight’s Cross Progression Is Coming.
- Sync game progress. This is a separate step from linking. Syncing is what unifies the eligible Dead by Daylight accounts and shares progress.
- Launch the game on PC and check your account. Behaviour does not give a fixed completion time; it says syncing time varies with the amount of account data and how many players are syncing.
Check these account limits before syncing
- Only one account of each platform type can be included: for example, one Xbox account and one Steam account can be synced, but two Steam accounts cannot.
- After accounts are synced, you cannot unlink the provider account. Behaviour says support cannot bypass this restriction.
- Make sure you select the PC storefront account where you actually own or play the game. Steam, Epic Games Store, and Windows Store are supported PC options listed by Behaviour.
What transfers from Xbox to PC?
Cross-Progression shares eligible game data, but not every item or feature works the same way. Behaviour’s FAQ describes these rules:
- Character progression and inventory: Character levels and perks, items, and offerings use the higher value across synced accounts when their values differ.
- Bloodpoints, Iridescent Shards, and Rift Fragments: These accumulate and are shared. A Bloodpoint balance above 5,000,000 prevents you from earning more from Trials, Daily Challenges, and Archives until the balance falls below the cap.
- Auric Cells: These accumulate into a shared wallet, with a Nintendo Switch exception: Switch Auric Cells remain with that platform account.
- Cosmetics and other items: Cosmetics transfer except for platform-exclusive cosmetics; some other items are also platform-exclusive.
- Achievements and trophies: They remain platform-specific, although some may unlock automatically when synced progress meets their requirements.
- Settings: They are not included in Behaviour Account sync, so you may need to adjust them on PC.
Does DLC transfer between Xbox and PC?
The documented DLC-sharing exceptions are specific to Nintendo Switch: DLC can be shared from other platforms to Switch, but Switch DLC cannot be shared to other platforms. Those Switch rules do not establish an Xbox-to-PC DLC limitation. If you also connect a Switch account, account for the FAQ’s Switch-specific DLC and Auric Cells exceptions. Behaviour also says duplicate DLC purchases are not refunded. Its FAQ describes an Iridescent Shard gift for qualifying duplicate DLC when accounts are first synced, excluding Switch DLC; it does not state a current deadline for that offer.

Why linking is not the same as transferring an account
This is Cross-Progression through a Behaviour Account, not a one-time move that replaces your Xbox account with a PC account. You connect the eligible platform accounts and sync their game data. The irreversible unlinking restriction applies after sync, so confirm the account identities and the content you expect to share before completing that step.
