You can’t register for Fortnite Save the World’s community rewards now: the preregistration campaign was tied to the mode’s April 16, 2026 free-to-play launch, and Epic’s current instructions say to launch Save the World directly. If you preregistered before the cutoff, Epic said you would receive every community reward the campaign unlocked when you entered the mode or completed its introduction.
How to access Save the World now
Epic’s current instructions do not require campaign registration. Save the World is free to play, and Epic says no purchase is required. To launch it:
- Download Fortnite on a supported platform.
- Launch Fortnite and select Play.
- In Other Experiences by Epic, select the Save the World tile.
Epic lists PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch 2 as supported. Save the World is not available on the original Nintendo Switch, smartphones, or tablets. See Epic’s current access and platform instructions.
Can you still register for the community rewards?
No. The preregistration campaign was for the April 16, 2026 launch, and Epic’s launch announcement set a cutoff for registration before that date. It said: “Everyone who pre-registered on the website before April 16 will receive all unlocked community rewards.” Epic’s current support instructions describe how to enter the mode, not a way to register late. The campaign is over; launching Save the World now is not a substitute for preregistering.
#1 Best Overall
Epic said eligible rewards would be granted when a player loaded into Save the World or after completing the introduction. If you preregistered and do not see rewards, enter the mode and complete its introduction, then check your in-game items. Epic’s launch announcement has the campaign eligibility and delivery details: Save the World Is Now Free-to-Play!
What community goal rewards did Epic announce?
Epic described a community goal whose rewards increased as more players preregistered. Its March 2026 announcement identifies Snowstrike as the final preregistration reward and names a Save the World Hero among the campaign rewards. Snowstrike’s documented perks are North Star and North Star+: Throwing Stars slow or freeze enemies, respectively, and affected enemies can explode for base water damage when hit by melee damage or another North Star explosion. The official material cited here does not establish a reliable, complete table of every milestone threshold and its reward. That means exact player totals for each tier, or a full threshold-by-threshold reward ladder, cannot be stated confidently. Epic’s confirmed eligibility rule is that preregistered players receive the community rewards that were unlocked.
Existing Save the World owners received separate thank-you rewards
Epic also announced a separate set of rewards for players who already owned Save the World at the time. The March announcement listed these as due on April 16, 2026:
