To get Florges, evolve Flabébé into Floette with 25 Flabébé Candy, then earn 20 hearts with Floette as your Buddy Pokémon. Once you have the hearts, evolve Floette using 100 Flabébé Candy.
How to evolve Flabébé into Florges
- Evolve Flabébé into Floette. Select Flabébé and spend 25 Flabébé Candy.
- Make Floette your Buddy Pokémon. The heart requirement is for Floette, not Flabébé.
- Earn 20 hearts with Floette as your buddy.
- Evolve Floette into Florges. Spend 100 Flabébé Candy after meeting the heart requirement. No physical item is needed.
These are the standard requirements stated by the Pokémon GO team in its February 2022 Valentine’s Day announcement.

Is the Floette heart requirement still seven?
No. During September 2025 Community Day, Niantic temporarily lowered the requirement to seven hearts. The event announcement said the usual requirement would return on September 21, 2025, at 10 p.m. local time. The documented standard is therefore 20 hearts. If an event is active, check Floette’s evolution button in-game for a temporary change.
The same event offered a chance to evolve Floette into a Florges that knew Chilling Water during its event window. That window ended September 21, 2025, at 10 p.m. local time; the event announcement does not establish Chilling Water as a currently available evolution move.

Do Flabébé flower colors affect the evolution cost?
The official requirements give the same Candy and heart costs without distinguishing between colors. The Pokémon GO team lists red, yellow, orange, blue, and white Flabébé. Its announcements describe red encounters in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa; blue in Asia-Pacific; and yellow in the Americas. White and orange may appear in any region, if you’re lucky. These are encounter patterns stated in the 2022 announcement and reiterated in the 2025 event announcement, not a guarantee that future events will use the same distribution.
