To start Fastest in Pharloom, get Silk Soar, pull the lever in Hunter’s March to open the bridge into the eastern Far Fields, then travel to the region’s furthest border and speak with Sprintmaster Swift. You can accept the Sprint Wish from Swift or pick it up at the Wishwall in Bellhart.
How to reach Sprintmaster Swift
- Get Silk Soar. It is required to reach the eastern Far Fields.
- Pull the lever in Hunter’s March. This opens the bridge into the Far Fields’ eastern reaches.
- Cross the bridge and continue to the furthest border of the Far Fields. Speak with Sprintmaster Swift there to accept the Wish and begin the challenge.
If you want to take the Wish before making the trip, accept it from the Wishwall in Bellhart, then travel to Swift to race. The objective is “Race Sprintmaster Swift to discover Pharloom’s fastest bug.”
How the three races work
The Wish asks you to beat Swift in three races. Each race consists of three laps around a checkpoint course. Glowing bugs mark the intended route; pass through checkpoints in order. Skipping a checkpoint or hitting one out of sequence, leaving the room, or playing Needolin cancels the race or counts as a loss.
Race tips
- The courses get longer and more technical as you progress, so use Silk Soar and chained dashes confidently and aim for clean checkpoint lines.
- A guide on the Hollow Knight Wiki suggests pressing sprint on the starting bell’s second chime for a head start. It also reports that a Needle strike or Clawline can briefly stagger Swift.
Rewards for completing the Wish
The three race wins award these items in order:

The separate rematch after the Wish
After completing the Wish and receiving Everbloom, Swift reportedly offers another challenge: a six-lap version of the third course. Winning this follow-up race rewards the Sprintmaster Memento; it is separate from the Wish’s three-race reward sequence.
