Samsung’s archived instructions set December 31, 2019, as the redemption deadline. Epic’s current support page also says Fortnite is no longer available through the Samsung Galaxy Store; it does not announce a replacement GLOW promotion.
Why the free GLOW offer ended
GLOW was a limited-time Samsung promotion in 2019, not a permanent benefit for Galaxy owners. Samsung’s support instructions required players to redeem it by December 31, 2019. The article was updated in 2021, but the deadline it gives is still the historical cutoff for that offer. Samsung’s archived GLOW instructions describe the promotion and its deadline.
Samsung Electronics America announced on September 25, 2019, that GLOW and the LEVITATE emote would be exclusive to Galaxy owners, with availability beginning September 27 in the U.S. Samsung Global Newsroom reported availability beginning September 28. These announcements reflect different regional contexts; together they place the launch in late September 2019, not a current offer. Samsung Electronics America’s announcement and Samsung Global Newsroom’s announcement describe the launch.
Which Samsung phones qualified?
The archived Samsung Poland support page lists selected Galaxy Note10-series, Note9, Note8, S10-series, S9-series, S8-series, S7-series, Tab S6, Tab S4, Tab S3, and Galaxy A-series devices. Samsung also said qualifying devices needed current Samsung software updates. This is a historical, regional list; it does not mean every Samsung device qualified, nor does it make those devices eligible for a claim today. Samsung’s archived support page has the list.

How the old redemption process worked
Samsung’s instructions described this process for the expired promotion. It is not a way to get GLOW now:
- Install and launch Fortnite on a qualifying Galaxy device.
- Sign in to an Epic account or create one.
- Open Fortnite’s Store and select GLOW under limited-time promotions.
- Complete the confirmation flow before December 31, 2019. Samsung said the user would not be charged during the card-entry step.
Those instructions depended on the offer being active and should not be treated as current redemption steps.

How to download Fortnite on a Samsung device now
Epic’s current support page says Fortnite is no longer available to download through the Samsung Galaxy Store and directs Samsung users to download the Epic Games app. That is a current game-installation route, not a way to claim GLOW. Epic’s Samsung Galaxy Store support page explains the current download guidance.
What won’t unlock GLOW
- A new Samsung phone or tablet: The official sources do not establish that buying a Galaxy device now unlocks the retired outfit.
- Fortnite gift cards or V-Bucks: Epic’s current gift-card page describes a different offer: GHOST Monks for qualifying first-time redemptions of a new Fortnite gift card through December 31, 2026. It does not offer GLOW. Epic’s gift-card page has the current promotion details.
- Account sales, skin sellers, or unverified codes: The official sources cited here do not verify these as legitimate ways to obtain GLOW.
Can players who already claimed GLOW still use it?
Epic’s current download support page does not say whether players who previously claimed GLOW still have it in their Fortnite lockers. The sources cited here establish that the original claim window ended; they do not establish the current locker status of past owners.
