Complete The New War, then interact with the Lotus helmet in your Orbiter’s Personal Quarters. That opens the post-quest appearance customization; it does not change the Lotus’s name.
Change the Lotus’s appearance
- Complete The New War. The customization is available after the quest, according to Digital Extremes’ Update 31 notes.
- Return to your Orbiter and enter the Personal Quarters.
- Interact with the Lotus helmet in the room to open the appearance customization.
- Choose an available appearance. Players also report that the helmet interaction lets them change the Lotus’s suit colors; the official notes confirm appearance customization but do not specify color controls. See the community discussion.
Appearance and the New War identity choice are separate
At the end of The New War, choosing Natah, Lotus, or Margulis determines the name the character uses. It does not lock you out of later appearance customization. Digital Extremes says appearance options associated with the other identity choices can be purchased later, but its Update 31 notes do not give current prices or a current item list. The quest reference at Orokin Archives also describes the identity choice as permanent.
In short, use the helmet in the Personal Quarters to customize appearance; the quest’s identity decision governs the name, not that later customization.
