Can friends on different platforms play together?

PC players have more than one storefront option: EA lists the EA app, Steam, and Epic Games. The official listing does not explain invitations across those storefronts or confirm every cross-store interaction, so check the chosen version’s current social and invite options rather than assuming they work identically.
How to play online with a friend
- Confirm the platform family. Both players should be on PC, PlayStation, or Xbox respectively; the game’s official support answer does not promise cross-play.
- Install and update the game. Each player needs their own applicable platform copy. EA says copies are sold separately and lists an internet connection and EA Account among the online requirements. EA product page
- Check console online access. On console, make sure the account has the platform’s multiplayer subscription if required. Names and eligibility can change by region and over time; consult the current platform store listing.
- Form a group or join the friend through the game’s multiplayer/social interface. Available menus can vary by platform and version; the official sources here do not provide a current button-by-button invitation sequence.
How to play local split-screen co-op
- Use the PlayStation 4 or Xbox One version and connect a second controller.

StarWars.com describes the feature as offline split-screen and limits it to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. PC is not listed as an officially supported split-screen platform.
