The right option depends on which one you mean.
If you mean the Roblox app or website
Roblox’s appearance options let you choose Light, Dark, or System theme. These change the color theme, not the former layout or menus. The selection applies only to the device you are using.
- Mobile or desktop app: open Settings, then Device preferences, and choose a theme.
- Website: open Settings, then Browser preferences, and choose a theme.
See Roblox Support’s theme instructions for the current options.
If you mean the menu or controls inside a game
Open the in-experience Settings menu to adjust supported options. If the experience developer has not locked the camera mode, you can switch between Classic and Follow. Available accessibility options include Reduce Motion, Background Transparency, and UI Navigation Toggle. Reduce Motion can change or remove some screen effects—for example, the in-game menu can fade in rather than slide in. Background Transparency makes interface backgrounds more opaque to improve contrast and legibility.

If it is a GUI in a place you own
If an earlier saved version of your place included the GUI, Roblox’s place version history may let you restore it. Find a saved version that contains the interface and revert the place to it. Roblox explains this process in its guide to reverting a place to a previous version.

If no saved version contains the GUI, use Roblox Studio to recreate it or recover a copy you saved yourself. Version history is only useful if the relevant earlier version exists; it cannot restore a GUI that was never included in a saved copy.

“Old GUI” is not specific enough to identify a particular retired feature. It might refer to the top bar, inventory, chat, a game HUD, or another control. Name the exact element—or share a screenshot—before looking for a replacement. A Developer Forum discussion illustrates this ambiguity, but does not establish that any particular retired interface is available to restore: Roblox Developer Forum discussion.
