To get Daruk’s Boulder Breaker in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, complete the Divine Beast Vah Rudania quest, return to Goron City, and open the chest inside Bludo’s house. If it breaks or you lose it, Goron blacksmith Rohan can make a replacement.
Get the Boulder Breaker from Bludo’s house
-
Complete the Divine Beast Vah Rudania quest.
-
Return to Goron City and go inside Bludo’s house.
-
Open the chest there to collect Daruk’s Boulder Breaker. It is an optional reward after the quest, rather than an item you receive automatically for starting it. The Zelda Dungeon walkthrough identifies the chest as the first acquisition point.
Get another Boulder Breaker if it breaks
Take the required materials to Rohan, the Goron City blacksmith, and he can reforge the weapon:

This is the Breath of the Wild replacement recipe; the same weapon name appears in Tears of the Kingdom, but that game’s quest and material requirements differ. IGN’s Breath of the Wild guide covers Rohan’s replacement materials.
What the Boulder Breaker is good for
The Boulder Breaker is a two-handed weapon with 60 attack power and 60 durability in Breath of the Wild. Its heavy swings are slow, but the weapon is useful for breaking ore deposits and fighting Stone Talus. As Daruk’s weapon, it is also a distinctive keepsake from the Vah Rudania quest.

Guides for Tears of the Kingdom may point to the “Soul of the Gorons” quest and a different replacement recipe. Those instructions do not apply here: in Breath of the Wild, collect the first Boulder Breaker from Bludo’s house after Vah Rudania, and ask Rohan for a replacement using one Cobble Crusher, five Flint, and one Diamond.
