To get all three first-partner Pokémon in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, choose one at the start, then finish the main story through the end credits and speak to Professor Laventon in the Galaxy building. He gives you the two starters you did not choose, both at level 5. No trading is required.
Get the two starters you missed from Professor Laventon
- Choose Rowlet, Cyndaquil, or Oshawott as your first partner at the beginning of the game.
- Progress through the main story until the end credits roll.
- Return to the Galaxy building and talk to Professor Laventon. He gives you both of the other first-partner Pokémon at level 5.
This is the guaranteed completion route described by Nintendo Life’s starter guide; you do not need to trade with another player.

Find starter Pokémon in Space-Time Distortions
You can also encounter each starter line in Space-Time Distortions in its associated region. The listed region applies to the starter and its evolutions.
| Starter line | Region |
|---|---|
| Rowlet → Dartrix → Decidueye | Mount Coronet |
| Cyndaquil → Quilava → Typhlosion | Crimson Mirelands |
| Oshawott → Dewott → Samurott | Alabaster Icelands |
These locations are listed in Nintendo Life’s Pokémon location table. The guide does not establish encounter odds or a guaranteed wait time for a distortion, so this is an alternative to the Laventon gift rather than a predictable shortcut.
