To make Linen in Enshrouded, collect Flax in Revelwood and process it at a Hand Spindle, Spinning Wheel, or—later in the game—a Spinning Machine. The Spinning Wheel uses the least Flax per Linen among the early options; the Spinning Machine has the best listed yield per Flax.
Get Flax in Revelwood or grow it
Wild Flax grows in Revelwood. Look for the plant there and gather Flax to use as the raw material for Linen. The recipes covered here make Linen from Flax rather than relying on a Linen loot drop. The Official Enshrouded Wiki’s Flax entry lists the plant’s biome and cultivation details.

You can also create a renewable supply by growing Flax Seedlings. At a Seedbed, the recipe is 1 Flax, 1 Water, and 1 Farm Soil for 10 seedlings, with a listed production time of five minutes. Plant seedlings to cultivate more Flax for processing.
Choose a station to turn Flax into Linen
Each station trades processing time and progression requirements against how much Flax it consumes. These are the listed recipe amounts and craft times; times are per recipe, not a measure of how many batches a station can run simultaneously.

Unlock the Spinning Wheel
The Spinning Wheel is craftable by the Hunter after you create a Table Saw to make Wood Planks and acquire the Loom. Its listed crafting recipe is:
- 2 Wood Logs
- 2 Wood Planks
- 3 Fossilized Bone
- 2 Bronze Bars
- 5 Nails
After completing the Hunter quest “Loom For The Hunter,” the follow-up quest “Using The Spinning Wheel” lists placing the Spinning Wheel as its objective. The quest detail is on The Official Enshrouded Wiki.

The Spinning Machine becomes available through the Hunter after you collect Raw Wool during the “Gathering Wool In The Albaneve Summits” quest. Its listed crafting recipe requires:
- 3 Conifer Logs
- 5 Metal Scraps
- 1 Linen
- 1 Spinning Wheel
Because the machine’s recipe itself requires Linen and a Spinning Wheel, it is a later upgrade rather than a way to obtain your first Linen. Once built, it processes 10 Flax into 15 Linen in four minutes. See the Spinning Machine entry for its listed recipe and unlock.
Use Linen to make Fabric
If you are collecting Linen for textile crafting, the Loom—found at Weaver’s Cottage in the Nomad Highlands during “Loom For The Hunter”—turns 2 Linen into 1 Fabric. This is a separate step after producing Linen. The Loom’s location and recipe are listed in The Official Enshrouded Wiki’s Loom entry.
