Hunt: Showdown players who lose a server connection should first note exactly what happened and check Crytek’s current official channels for an incident. Crytek has published reconnect behavior and explanations for particular issues, but those statements do not establish one cause—or a measured rate—for disconnects today. No live outage confirmation was established for October 8, 2026.
What happens when Hunt: Showdown disconnects?
In a 2021 announcement, Crytek said the game would try to reconnect automatically for up to 60 seconds after a connection loss if the client remained running. If that attempt failed, the player would be sent to the main menu, where they could try the reconnect prompt. Crytek also said players could rejoin a Bounty Hunt mission for up to 10 minutes after a disconnect, with each new disconnect refreshing that window. Quickplay was excluded at the time. These are published 2021 details, not a guarantee of current behavior; check what the game does now. Crytek’s reconnect announcement
If the client crashed rather than staying open, that is a different observable outcome from losing a session while the game continues running. Record which happened instead of treating every failure as the same kind of disconnect.
What does error 0x30001 mean?
Crytek’s older explanation associates error 0x30001 with a lost connection between the game client and backend. It describes backend behavior at the time of that explanation; it does not diagnose current disconnects or show that this code is the cause of every connection problem. Does Crytek confirm a current server outage or universal cause?
No current outage was confirmed for October 8, 2026. Crytek’s official news index displayed posts dated October 6, 2026, but a news index is not a live server-status page. Check Hunt: Showdown’s official news and official support or community channels for a current incident.
Player reports of “constant disconnects” describe individual experiences, not a measured prevalence rate. The official sources cited here do not establish how many players disconnect, how often it happens, or which cause is most common. A failure could involve the local connection, a platform service, backend communication, or a dedicated server; symptoms alone cannot identify which.

How can you narrow down what happened?
Look for evidence that distinguishes possibilities rather than assuming the router, ISP, or game server is at fault. These checks are diagnostic questions, not confirmed causes or guaranteed fixes.
- Other services: Did other online games or services also fail at about the same time?
- Client behavior: Did Hunt crash, or did it remain open after losing the session?
- Error details: Did the game show a specific code, such as 0x30001, or only a connection warning?
- Scope: Did teammates or other players report a similar issue in the same region around the same time?
- Repeatability: Does the problem happen across different networks or devices, or only in one setup?
What should you include in a report?
A clear report makes an issue easier to compare with other reports. Crytek describes Community Triage as a process for cataloguing and cross-referencing player reports and sharing updates. The details below are practical ways to make your own account reproducible, not a checklist Crytek says is mandatory. Crytek’s Community Triage overview

Crytek’s matchmaking statements changed during 2025. In March, it described per-region ping thresholds; in April, it said it had temporarily disabled the then-current limit while investigating problems.
