To beat Shadow Miyazawa, identify the real boss when he makes copies, destroy the projectors when they appear, and target the sword marked with pink cloth during the sword phase. Avoid attacking decoys: they can counter. GameWith recommends level 58 as a preparation benchmark, but it is not a strict requirement.
Prepare for the fight
GameWith recommends level 58 for the Miyazawa Palace boss. Treat that as a guideline rather than a minimum: your equipment, Persona setup, party, and ability to respond to the fight’s mechanics also matter. The available guide summary says Shadow Miyazawa uses physical and Curse attacks, but does not provide a complete weakness or resistance chart.

Build your party around three practical needs: dependable single-target damage, healing or shielding, and status recovery if you have access to it. GameWith specifically recommends Soy (Shun Kano)’s Skill 3 to draw single-target attacks away from other party members and help preserve party HP.
Handle each boss mechanic
When Miyazawa creates copies
Watch the copies instead of choosing a target at random. Game8 identifies the real Miyazawa by a visible shake and reports that he has more HP than the fakes. Focus single-target attacks on the identified real boss. Both GameWith and Game8 warn that hitting a fake can trigger a counter, so an uncertain attack can cost you more than a turn.

When the projectors appear
Attack and destroy the projectors. GameWith says doing so weakens Miyazawa, creating an opening to put damage on the boss rather than spending attacks on him while that opportunity is available.
During the sword phase
Find the sword marked with pink cloth and defeat that sword. GameWith and Game8 report that doing so weakens Miyazawa. Do not distribute attacks across the swords without checking for the marker.

Use Soy’s Skill 3 to draw single-target pressure when it is available, and keep healing ready so damage does not accumulate across the party. Shields and status recovery can also help if your roster provides them; players have mentioned these approaches, but those reports are anecdotal and may depend on roster or game version.
Because the guides do not establish a complete turn-by-turn sequence, react to the mechanics as they appear rather than relying on a fixed rotation. The key decision is whether an action should identify the real target, remove a mechanic target, or restore the party.

Sources and limits
- GameWith’s Shadow Miyazawa guide supports the level recommendation, attack types, decoy counter, projector and pink-cloth sword mechanics, and Soy recommendation.
- Game8’s boss guide supports the real-copy shake cue, higher HP, and mechanic targets. Its available guide summary does not establish an exhaustive phase order.
