To post on the Roblox Developer Forum, open the forum and choose New Topic if that option is available to you. Give the topic a specific title, write a focused post, and select the category that best fits. Before publishing, read that category’s About topic and pinned posts, and search for an existing discussion—especially for a bug report or feature request.
Post a new topic on the Developer Forum
- Open the Developer Forum and check the current controls. A community-authored tutorial describes selecting “New topic,” entering a topic name, choosing a category, and optionally adding tags. Treat that as basic orientation rather than a guarantee that the interface has not changed: How to post/reply in roblox devforum.
- Write a clear title and focused post. State the question, issue, or proposal directly, and keep the content relevant to the topic and category.
- Choose the best-fitting category. Open its About topic and pinned topics first; Roblox’s Developer Forum rules direct users to follow those category-specific instructions.
- Search before posting. For bug reports and feature requests, check whether a similar topic already exists. If there is a duplicate, the rules say to flag it for moderator handling rather than start another topic.
- Review the post and publish if the forum allows it. Follow the forum rules and Roblox Community Standards and Terms of Use. Stay on topic, avoid spam or unnecessary bumps, and combine related replies in one post where possible.
If you cannot create a topic or reply
Use the explanation and instructions displayed by the live forum. Posting access or a category’s requirements may vary, and the current eligibility threshold and approval route are not established by the available official rules.
A 2019 help post describes a New Member process involving the Bulletin Board and a message to the Post_Approval group, but it is historical guidance—not confirmation that this is still the process: How do I post in a topic I don’t have access to create a post in? Follow current on-screen directions instead of relying on that older workflow.
Do you mean a creator’s Community Forum?
Roblox Community Forums are separate from the Developer Forum. They belong to Roblox creator communities, and the community owner or admin controls whether the feature is enabled, its categories, and who has permission to contribute. The Developer Forum’s category guidance does not determine access to a creator’s forum.

Roblox’s announcement explains that Community Forums can be enabled from the Community Admin Page’s Forums tab and configured with community roles: Introducing Community Forums. A later announcement describes per-category role permissions, slow mode, and authors’ ability to lock their own community forum posts; those controls apply to Community Forums, not Developer Forum posting eligibility: Community Forums Updates.
