“Modded Clash Royale” usually means either an altered, unofficial game client or a community-run private server. Neither is the official Supercell service, and neither is a supported way to change progress on an official Clash Royale account. If you want the supported game, use the official app and Supercell’s support channels.
What does “modded Clash Royale” mean?
The phrase is used for two different things: a modified game client, or a private server run separately from Supercell’s service. Community discussions may describe custom content or altered progression, but those descriptions do not verify a project’s features, safety, availability, or compatibility. A community server is not an official Clash Royale mode. Its service, content, and progression should not be assumed to connect to or carry over to the official game.

Can you safely use a mod on the official account?
Supercell identifies unsupported third-party software among the behaviors it checks in its fair-play work: “Supercell regularly checks behaviors that can give players unfair advantages, including: Use of unsupported third-party software.” Its account-penalty guidance also says cheating or fraudulent activity that creates an unfair advantage is not allowed. Using an unofficial modified client therefore carries account-policy risk, but the guidance cited here does not establish how every offline experiment or every community project is treated, or guarantee a particular penalty in every case. Do not assume that a modified client can unlock resources or alter progress on the official service. The sources cited here do not support that claim.
What should you do instead?
- For the supported game: install and play the official Clash Royale app, and use the official support portal for gameplay or account help.
- Protect your account: do not enter Supercell credentials into unofficial clients, websites, or services.
- Treat community projects as unverified: assess the operator, download provenance, account separation, and current compatibility yourself; no named project is verified here as safe or currently available.
Supercell has separately warned that third-party websites offering in-game currency are not safe to use.
