LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga supports two-player local couch co-op. Start the game and enter active gameplay, connect or turn on a second compatible controller, then follow the Player 2 join prompt shown on screen. Player 2 can drop in or out during play; the exact button prompt depends on the platform and setup.
How to add a second player
- Start the game on the console or PC both players will use, and reach active gameplay.
- Connect or activate a second controller. On PC, check that both the operating system and the game recognize the controllers.
- Use the on-screen join prompt with the second controller. Warner Bros. Games Support confirms that Player 2 can join or leave during couch co-op, but does not document one universal button sequence. WB Games Support
What kind of co-op does the game offer?
The supported mode described by the official listings is local play on a shared device: Steam labels its PC version shared/split-screen co-op, and Xbox lists two-player local co-op. The screen is shared or split for the two players. Steam listing · Xbox listing

Steam also lists Remote Play Together. That is Steam’s feature for sharing a local-play session remotely; its presence does not mean the game has a native online lobby or built-in online co-op. The cited sources do not establish an equivalent remote-play feature for other platforms.

If Player 2 cannot join
Check the second controller before trying again: make sure it is powered, paired or connected, assigned to the console or PC, and recognized by the game. Then try the join prompt after active gameplay has started. These are general checks rather than a platform-specific button sequence confirmed by the cited support material. For exact buttons, consult the instructions for your platform and controller.
